Krondr: Funny thing — I have just launched the GOG Galaxy for a totally unrelated reason, and it updated something about the Fabled Lands installation (the download size was about 30 Mb or something like that), and now the inventory is apparently working fine.

It seems to me as if the manually downloaded version is different from the version available from Galaxy.
It's great that the issue is resolved!

I didn't know that you can download it outside of the Galaxy launcher? How does that work?

Turned out, it wasn't exactly resolved.

What I found is that the inventory works fine if the game is launched using GOG Galaxy, even if the game was downloaded and installed manually.

If the game is launched directly, like any other app, then the inventory won't work.

Each game in the user's game library is provided with a list of off-line installers, PDF manuals, and other files for direct download. So, unlike the Steam app, the Galaxy is totally optional.

Finally, the solution to the problem with the inventory was found.

In the Finder, right-click on the `Fabled Lands.app`, and select "Get Info" from the menu.

In the Info window, tick the checkbox "Open using Rosetta".
