I just purchased the game. The markets inventories are all empty (port, forest, yellowport) and my main character cannot hold any inventory. It is wiped immediately upon accepting the item.

(click on the staff from the tree spirit, go into inventory, and it’s empty).
(click on the potion after arriving at the beach, go into inventory, empty).

Tested on pc and markets/inventory works fine. Not working on mac.

To bump this up: I also purchased for Mac and my inventory (and quests!) are just blank. My own and those in marketplaces.

Basically, because of this the game is thus wholly unplayable. (while the demo worked fine on Mac).

Please post a fix if you have it, AND developers please get on this!

Hey, the issue should be fixed, make sure to update to 1.3.20c (this is a temp version hotfix number just for OS X).

Apple changed how they notarize files since Dec 1, I have to ping GOG to update their SDK :)

I'm using the version 1.2.30c which I just downloaded from the GOG website, and it has the same inventory/shop bug.

Just in case, on the game's main screen the version of the game is stated as 1.2.3c (not .30c)

Hey, thank you for getting in touch! Have you confirmed in GOG you have selected 1.3.20c on Mac OSX (via the GOG Galaxy client)? Dribes reported to me that the issue was fixed for him when he updated. 1.2.3c is from 2 patches ago.

I don't use the Galaxy client. In the downloads section for the game, the version is this:
"Fabled Lands v.1.3.20c 651 MB"
The name of the downloaded file is "fabled_lands_enUS_v_1_3_20c_.pkg". After the installation, the version number specified in the "Info.plist" of the "Fabled Lands.app" is:
"<key>CFBundleShortVersionString</key><string>1.3.2c</string>"
After starting the game, the inventory seemingly works fine until you visit the market. At that moment, your inventory is emptied and the market is empty too.

After leaving the market, the inventory stays empty though it works as it should, i.e. if you go and fight the bandits, and they drop some loot, it gets placed in your inventory just fine.

So the issue can be described as this:
* the market is always empty;
* visiting the market empties the player's inventory.

FYI I have just checked, and the demo version of the game from Steam (with the version "Demo.1.3.2c") doesn't have this issue with the inventory.

So it seems, the bug is only present in the GOG version of the game.

Hey, sorry, it's taking me time. The demo doesn't have the issue because it doesn't include GOG SDK integration for achievements, etc. I have to get my hands on a more recent Mac in order to be able to use the right OS version with the right XCode version to notarize the last update. But working on it!

Hey, hey, folks, sorry about the delay! I managed to get my hands on a newer Mac and patched the game to 1.3.22c using the latest notarization tool. Could you, plese, verify if your issue is gone after updating? Thank you so much for your patience!

Nope, the bug is still there.

I have downloaded the latest game version from GOG. The files inside the app are listed as last modified on March 29, so it's apparently the correct version.

Funny thing — I have just launched the GOG Galaxy for a totally unrelated reason, and it updated something about the Fabled Lands installation (the download size was about 30 Mb or something like that), and now the inventory is apparently working fine.

It seems to me as if the manually downloaded version is different from the version available from Galaxy.
