lan works, though you get one cd key per profile(i think, i have not tested it). if you purchase it on separate gog profiles and then download it and install it separately, you should theoretically get 2 different cd keys. another option is to start the game and then mess up the cd key in the registry and then find another cd key to type in. the game writes its registry keys at startup and there is no registry keys until it have started.
