you have to download the patches. google empires dawn of the modern world patches. only need to download 3 i think. download them in order. i think its like 1.0, 1.2, 1.3

Hello, i can find the point where to change the gamekey. But when i change it and start the game it accepts not the changed code nor the original. And if i open the regedid menu back up the code hasn't changed. Help pls would like to play with a friend ^^

Yes, multiplayer works, just install gameranger.
Also, you must install the 3 international patches (in order) follow this link: https://www.patches-scrolls.com/empires_dawn_of_the_modern_world.php

You must have done something wrong, I did this trick so many times and it always worked. What you can do is, add a new user on your computer and set it as administrator. Then, install empires: dawn of the modern world in the new user's session. If you want to change the cd key, follow the instructions above and please only change ONE number to another one (for example, 3 into a 7...)

When you start the game, you will be asked to input a new cd key, simply input this one (you can find other ones online if you want): PCXX-GGT8-4G3A-444J-7FA7

Also, if you want to play online, download "gameranger", you can host and join other people and your friends who want to play with you

When I try to run it, it says it cannot locate an existing installation. How do i fix this?

Hello, I have a fix for you.
First, uninstall the empries dawn of the modern world.
Then, go here https://www.gog.com/forum/empires_dawn_of_the_modern_world/release_4_languages_pack_keygen and download the mega file. Go to play without installation and select the english version. The patches are already preinstalled. Just launch empires.exe and you will have the game + patches installed ! Works for sure.

Then if you want to play with gameranger, remove the filter and make all games appear, then try to join an existing room for emipres: dawn of the modern world. It will ask you to locate the .exe file. Simply navigate to the .exe of the game you just launched, and you will be able to play multiplayer. Have fun

ive done all of this succesfully but when i try to join it says someone is already using my cd key. got the game from gog. dont know how to fix this.

Ok do this:
- Open gameranger
- On the top left bar, click on Edit and then Options...
- Select Empires: Dawn Of The Modern World and click on Browse...
- Select the empires.exe game (the file you normally click in to play)
- Press OK and now you can Host and join games
