What's going on ? Is the support for elex over ? Should we not get more updates ? There are things that must be fixed, we need some optimization also, weather is acting weird that needs to be fixed bec its raining non stop in clerics city, attleast unnoficial patches from modders if not from PB...
Patience is a virtue.
27 people can only do so much bugfixing in a certain time frame. I'm sure there'll be at least one more patch until the end of the year, and it probably will be a big one addressing a shitload of issues.
And i hope they will fix the game. I liked it first a lot, till I ran in more and more issues ... I'll never play again or buy a PB game again if they don't fix this game.

the community has no chance to patch this game if they don't relese the tools and they stated they won't...

there are indie studios with less peapole with more polished games... I'm disapointed.
To reiterate what skaldrich said, a bit of patience is required. Piranha Bytes has never been a company to do things in a hurry, and they're probably being careful not to suffer from the Bethesda syndrome of patching one issue but introducing 3 or 4 new issues in the process. It isn't optimal, but there is only so much a small company can do in a reasonable amount of time.

Granted, the hit boxes and UI-disappearing glitches do need fixing ASAP!

Piranha Bytes has never been a company to abandon a game in a fully fixed, fully optimized condition--I think is what you meant to say...;) G1,G2, and G3 all require third-party community patches to be playable today--and they are all very playable and thoroughly entertaining--but no thanks to PB, unfortunately.

Hopefully, as most of the PB developers employed when those games shipped are no longer with the company, this new PB might do things better! I sincerely hope so. Six months will tell the tale, imo.
I have seen such comments before, and so now I have an opportunity to ask in a place with people more reputable than on YouTube - why do you say that? Gothic 3, granted, requires mods and unofficial patches to play efficiently. Gothic 1 as well, I can accept, due to its highly buggy and unstable nature. Gothic 2, Risen 1 (definitely their most polished) and, as average as they are, the other two Risen games all work fine with only some nuisance issues.

So please, elaborate on what you mean by "playable", because Gothic 2: NotR and Risen 1 are just fine out of the box.
I'd like to kknow what these issues are as well. I've got 68+ hours into the game so far (still in Chapter 1) and not run into anything terribly egregious. Sure, there are some minor issues, but nothing major and nothing game-breaking so far. Just wondering if I'm either not seeing some of these things or they're going to crop up later in the game.
I'd like to know the same. I'm still in chapter 1 as well (62 hours) and didn't encountered anything terribly wrong. Game is rock stable so far. Never had any crash or any quest bug and I think I did a lot so far.
i apologise if i make some mistakes, english is not my nativ language, but issues? just to tell some ...

- contolling the jumpack is terrible in motion and feedback
- skills are not implemented right
- skills do nothing or have no/not noticable impact
- armor is not right calculated
- resistences are buggy or not proper calculated
- dmg don't scale with attributes
- dmg don't scale proper with skills
- the stamina-system is so buggy that they have to give enemies endless stamina
- "magic" is useless or false implented for a openworld rpg (you cant play a magic class right now)
- ranged is buggy like hell or useless or not vailable
- AI is not present, the enemy just smell you like 1000 miles away and is running just in, no matter what
- the companions are buggy
- many quest are broken, if you got unlucky
- clunky interface/UI
- the world is "empty", to less people/living things
- the movement from people in towns are more static as in older games
- "big" cities like mazes, but feeling empty ... just lock for clerics
- the german translation is horrible in comparison to english
- the german sentences don't really match the doing of jax nor the reactionsvof others
- there are many inconsystencies in the story, items or quests (e.g. you can lower your feelings with elex, but dont raise it with other items?)
- requirements for weapons/armor are not focused on their playstile
- hitboxes are buggy
- attack motions has very low feedback
- clipping from attack, if you stand a little higher or lower, so they don't connect
- the combatsystem is the most boring i ever seen, smashing the same one combo all time in melee because the other fighting options are buggy or not really fully useable (is this even a combatsystem?)
- the people are spitting nonestop (just too much if EVERY one is doing this all time)
- some textures are extrem low, like games 1995
... many more. yes many bugs and personal opinion, but for a full price game this is horrible. i have seen indie games/studios with more polished product for half the price.

Most of these things are not bugs for me but things that you personally don't like, like an empty world - I found it quite filled with secrets and people.
Terrible jetpack? I liked it and always had full control to where I'd fly.
Armor not calculated correctly? How the hell would a normal player notice this without numbers showing? I upped armor to the max and got less damage - seems to work.

You always say there are smaller studios creating better games - maybe, but there are also much much muuuuuuch bigger studios producing unplayable games for more money + season passes and DRM.

Elex is perfectly playable - several people I know and myself completed the game without any major problems. I got a single crash in 62 hours net playtime and some rare occasions of stuck camera that could be fixed by repositioning and trying again.

Don't take this as an attack against your opinion - just telling you that I had a 100% absolute completely different experience and enjoyed the hell outta this game.

Darksidewalker: - ranged is buggy like hell or useless or not vailable
Can you elaborate on this? I've been exclusively using ranged weapons for almost all of my 68 hours so far and I'm absolutely mopping the floor with the enemies.

As Psychofox says, not trying to attack your opinions (I don't agree with most of them, but they're as valid as mine), but many of the things you point to as buggy or game issues, I've not seen.
so you are blessed to have that good exp. but if you read some posts and reviews you will see, that my points are not an single opinion.
e.g. the jetpack, yes i also had full control, but ... and there is a real but, the controlling of it is extreme clunky compared to other controls in other games. it is controlable, yes, but the way its done is terrible. think about the motion feedback...

armor/res are not calculated correctly ... there are plenty persons who tasted it in detail, just search the net about it.

and i have to say, there are big studios who produce crap games also, but, again, this game has worse controls an isues than the worst console to pc port i played so far. maybe it is my personal taste, that could be, but i'm used to play polished games and i don't buy mass games and the press and PB did so much marketing and good reviews that this state of the game disapointed me very very very hard. ... do not get me wrong, first i liked the game, too, really.

the problem are not that there are crashes, i got none at all. the problem is the gemaplay, features or lets say not present features and the quality overall, even for a "little" studio.

i enjoyed the game till the point i realized and tested myself that the gameplay is not present. even the RPG is not, when your translation do not match reactions or does something different as you said.

what is good belanced and implemented when you have no choice in combat than one combo of attacking and ranged/magic is poorly implemented? did you try to play ranged ... i did ... 80% of the time it was a torture.

whats the point if many skills do not do their function? do you tested them? i did tested many, as you also can read in many threads in the net.

... and the community won't be able to fix this game like G3, because there will be no support from PB for modding like in the past.

it is fine. you do not have to be my opinion. just do not close the eyes because you like PB. you can read it everywhere in the net. it is not my opinion alone, i just got frustrated as i realized all these things...

Maybe I liked it >because< I did not read through forums when playing it ^^ Sometimes reading through forums can be like homeopathy. You read something and then you believe it and you put everything in it to make it true. Maybe I would have noticed these issues too, but I was too busy playing the game and not testing every single value :)

I think the way the jetpack is mounted to Jax' back would result in pretty much this - not having tons of propulsion to the front or sides but more upwards like in the game. But I'm just an Diplom-Ingenieur (as fellow german you will recognize that) what do I know about forces :D

It's really sad for you that you got this experience but I think unfortunately no one can help you with that :(

Oh, don't get me wrong, I can complain about aspects of the game as well. There are a number of things I find annoying - but not to the point of thinking the game has huge issues. But I find almost any game has some things that can be improved.

But I sill don't get the complaints about ranged. As I said, I'm owning the mobs with a ranged weapon. At level 22 now and am using a fully upgraded plasma rifle - the knockdown effect is an instant win button. But even before that I had no issues with ranged. I had more trouble with melee (but I spread my stats for ranged anyway, so that's expected).

Anyway, it's too bad you're not enjoying the game/didn't enjoy it. I'm currently having a blast with it. But we'll see how I feel when I finally finish... :)
i almost finished it. but did you realize, that your stats do not increase weapon dmg? ...but description says it will. i played with bow, spec from the beginning to increase this and than 2nd half i could not kill these stronger type monsters and had to hide and fire and fire and fire till they go down. thats not a combatsystem for me.

do you played dyinglight? this made an indie studio as well and, lets they the game is not perfect, but it also has a huge open world and rpg elements, skills and so on. just compare controls and action feedback with weapons and woving to elex. just a little example how it could be done better. the comparison of this two games are not perfect, because they do not have the same world, style and so on... but basic gameplay features can be compared. even the weapon and crafting could be and lets they there are worlds between these two games in basics and they are both done by a "little" studio.
