I understand that GOG doesn't usually refund games, and I also understand that a software company can have financial problems, but this is simply too much... the game displays major showstopping bugs on many systems and is pretty much unplayable (the tactical screen lockup bug is especially nasty). I have some 500-ish games beetween steam, desura and GOG and never asked for a single refund, but I do feel real bad supporting with my money a behaviour that is disrepectful of customers who showed their trust preordering. I bought this game out of appreciation for Genesis, fully knowing that is was pretty much just a graphical remake, wanting to support the developers, and then they release a beta. At least an apology is due, if not a full refund.

This is the first game I bought on GOG which has so many bugs that I can't play it. It's the first game I preordered on GOG so this will be a lesson to me...
I'm also desperately disappointed that the game has been advertised as "a long-awaited continuation" and not as a remake. "Eador: Masters of the Broken World is a long-awaited continuation to the phenomenal Eador: Genesis, a game dubbed to be the ultimate incarnation of the heroic, magical, and mighty turn-based strategy genre. The sequel improves the game's aesthetics dramatically, while retaining everything that the fans love about the gameplay. "

I hope they get this fixed soon and I hope we don't have to wait longer for the patches than Steam customers...
I asked for one through the support system, and if GOG are smart they'll look at the quantity of games I buy from them and grant me that refund to keep my trust as a customer for future games.

I still hope they can fix all the bugs and I will have much fun with this game... Preordering has been my fault...
Unless they really start fixing some of these issues, I'd probably be enjoying a refund as well. This just wasn't worth the money.

What do you mean??? You mean you don't like to pay 20$ to be a beta tester then by the time enough updates come out and totally fix the game you could have got on sale at least. LOL or you can pay full price but why would you, it would be an older game that works properly.
Same here, i want a refund. I can even show proof of me deleting the damn installer xD
Hello,
i am very disapointed too. This release makes me overthink my instabuy policy for new releases here. Virginity lost, i was screwed over the first time by my beloved gog.com. I only buy here new games because i could trust in good quality and fun releases. But that is history. So no preorder anymore. I do not want a refund. I want to erase every memory of the game in my mind.

Have a nice day
i will wait for the patches to solve the major problems, however i am really dissapointed that this is a mere remake... i thought it was something new... otherwise i wouldnt have pre-ordered it... no pre-orders for me from now on =)
If you are asking for refunds do it NOW! Its better to do as early as possible so gog will feel comfortable by refunding the game!

Another point.. gog will not be angry on those who already have a decent library of games here. I think they are very understandible people!
Also unhappy about the state of the game here as well and would be interested to see what GOG's opinion is on the possibility of a refund. I do like the service GOG usually offers tho I now think that they should at least look into the games they allow for pre order to make sure they will be up to a decent standard. Also I have no problems with buying into some beta test type games to help fund the development but this must be made clear before you actually buy the product rather then the pre-order of a complete game this appeared to be. Very disappointed over all with this game and for once with GOG =/

I have some 100 games on GOG, not a huge libray but a decent one. And I'm willing to give further trust to the developers, if they only would stop by, apologize and give us a broad timeline for patches and fixes.
I was looking forward to playing the new version, but after reading this, I think I'll hold off for a while, if ever. What a shame.

Edit; I hope those affected get some type of refund or credit.

The first patch should be out, try it before you request a refund:

I like that they fix first impression-game breaking bug.
"Keys of Truth’ questline was considered complete after the tutorial ended."

It doesnt matter for people who already got their ruined experience.. its like watching mass effect3 ending after beating the tutorial.. good lord...
