Some of the graphics in the Amiga ports of the first two games have major differences in the amount of detail, even though the Amiga was limited to only 32 colors. Just compare the overland map in Death Knights of Krynn, between the Amiga and PC versions at MobyGames. Death Knights of Krynn really should have offered VGA graphics, considering the time it was released.
The Amiga versions of the first two games have superior sound effects too. Only the PC version of The Dark Queen of Krynn offered good sound effects, when they finally added Sound Blaster support.
The music would be superior in the PC versions, if it was not so inconsistent. Champions of Krynn and The Dark Queen of Krynn offer excellent Roland MT-32, but Death Knights of Krynn was limited to Adlib/CMS for some strange reason.
notsofastmyboy: The C64 graphics for the first two games (DQoK was never released for C64) are on par with the PC EGA graphics in most respects. But since each pixel is twice as wide as it is high (a technical limitation of the C64 in multicolor mode), the PC graphics still look a tad nicer.
The Commodore 64 versions aren't even close, in terms of graphics. There is a major difference in the amount of detail lost in all the larger images in the Commodore 64 ports.
