xman1: Can I ask what this update gave anyone? I still have 2.1.1.5 on my NAS. This seems later than 1.05.

fsbarbero: It seems that your game is very old, before version 1.05 (from 2016). Previous versions of the game used a different numbering.

According to the GOG Database, the first versions were called gog-3 or gog-4. One of those two versions could be yours. After them, version 1.05 was released in 2016, but then versions 1.05(hotfix), 1.05(dlc) and finally 1.05(A) were released in 2017.

All these versions provided a lot of fixes, except for the last released version (1.05 GOG 0.5) which has been a disaster. However, version 1.05 GOG 0.8 has now been released and seems to fix all the previous bugs.
Awesome. Thanks. Downloading.

Any idea if it fixes everything this Mod fixes?

Skess01: I thought too that 2.1.1.5 patch was the latest version of the game (before this year updates), but without gogdb help I don't know.
With ya there.

2.1.1.5 looks like it would be the latest version of the game anyway. Not sure why I need this new one.

Patch 1.05 came out in 2011, long before my version that I downloaded. Not sure this new patch buys me anything.

Be careful not to confuse the game version with the GOG installer version. Furthermore, do not use update patches that do not come from GOG, as GOG often adapts and modifies games.
I wouldn't worry about that if it is working fine. GoG really needs to use the Change log on this site. They mess with things without telling you, so it might be safer to keep the old working version unless you know what they changed.

To get this game working fine, you are still going to need some mods as I am sure GoG is not using them.

This one fixes all the dialog, some you didn't even know needed fixing because they never properly triggered before:

This one fixes the combat bugs:

Finally, this game was made for 1080p. To get the interface correct for higher res, you are going to need to select 4K, 2K, or Ultrawide here. Without this, all the menus are inappropriately and extremely small in size:

I will reiterate, GoG should leave the game alone unless they tell you what they are doing. I recall on Thief, they added TFix without telling you. Problem is, it was an old version. It would have been nice for them to tell us that they modded it with this in the first place.
