Ok, I'm setting up a game with the aforementioned friend tonight, so we'll see if we can get a game going. In either case, I'll be around on Galaxy at 21:30 so I can test with Gersen. If the issues persist, I'll let you know, Raze, and we can try setting something up tomorrow. I might do the same thing Gersen did, just leave the game running and see what happens.

Happy to report we were just able to play for around an hour, but only after the second try. The first one ended with my friend seeing the game and technically being in it, but with non-functional controls. He was also booted from the game later on, it might've crashed.

Anyway, sent you a friend invite, Gersen. I'll be around in an hour, let's try connecting then.

If you try to connect could you please check first if my game appear in the lobby, when we tried with my friend it didn't appear in the lobby.

I can see your game in the lobby and can attempt to join both by joining that public game and using the code directly. The issue being that both load attempts get stuck at around 80-90% and don't progress beyond that. Can this have something to do with you being inactive in-game?

Got into your game, Raze, but it didn't show up in the lobby for me, I had to use the code.

I was able to join Raze game; same thing invisible in the lobby but worked with the code.


Don't know, I made sure the game was active and not "alt-tabbed", and normally when playing with my friend we can alt-tab in and out without impacting the other.
I have recreated a game without the "LAN" option checked in case having both "dirrect connect" and "Lan" at the same time cause issues.

Maybe, it's not always clear when the game and Galaxy communicate together, I have created a new public game, are you able to connect now ?

Very strange, especially as it's not the same issue I had with my friend. With him it was failling immediately with the "Joining failled" error.

Here I saw you online, I was even able to assign you the characters as if you had normally joined.

I tried disabling the firewall to see if it helps.

No problem; still thanks a lot for your time, it was very helpful but I have to admit that I am at kind of a loss.

I was able to connect to you so apparently this part work; but I was unable to see your game in the lobby. (But maybe you just didn't set the game as "public")

On the other side neither you nor Lord_Kristof were able to connect to me, neither in direct nor via the lobby which would mean that there is an issue on my side but with my friend we had a totally different behavior. (I was failing immediately with a "Joining failed" error)


Raze, would you happen to know which ports are used by D:OS for multiplayer ?

Normally the process itself is allowed in my Windows firewall but I could try to explicitly open/redirect the ports in my router to see if it helps.
