VanishedOne: I had trouble clicking on objects because the screen shake would move them around under my mouse pointer. If I misclicked, my characters might treat it as an instruction to walk into danger.

Hickory: I have similar trouble with character animations during battle. How many times have I targeted an enemy and fired, only to have their animation move (effectively negating the target) right at the crucial moment. It's infuriating when it costs vital action points, all because target toon is doing some over-exaggerated boredom/stance-shifting dance. Such animations should be disabled during battle, considering there is a penalty to-hit anyway.
I had this one last night, against the lighthouse boss (yes, I'm playing really slowly! ha!). The odd thing is that many times I have to double-click to get one of my characters to move but this time she (my archer, no less) just zipped right on over next to the boss as I clicked for her to shoot him and he happened to go into his jump / dance-around animation at the same moment.

After that, I did try targeting via the strip of combatants across the top of the screen but it was really hit-or-miss (no pun intended) whether or not I could target someone this way. I'll have to play around with it a bit to see if I was messing up somehow.

I would also welcome a pause feature, as it can be difficult to prepare for a battle as the clock is ticking on your enchantments, AoE spells, etc., especially trying to juggle these efforts for four characters.
Added these two to the OP:
- There were one-handed wands. I want to be a shield-weilding caster!
- The icons at the top of the screen during battles could be used to melee attack enemies, not just throw spells at them.

And yeah, a pause feature would be handy.
How about a fix for the leader bug? I've seen other people have the same problem and it's very frustrating. Each time I have my female character picked then save and reload, my male character is picked instead. Very frustrating and even happens in combat where characters whose turn is not up should not even be clickable. Doesn't matter what I try to fix it, it always happens :/ (the same doesn't happen if I have my male character picked). I think the bug starts when you get more people in your party.

Fyi you can put the two-handed staff back in the backpack and still cast your spells or are you saying that you want a sword without needing 6 str?

Have you tried rearranging the order of characters on the chain?

Like I said, it doesn't matter what I try to do to fix it. I've tried everything. Changing the portrait order is irrelevant regardless of whether I put them on the top, middle, or bottom. Others have the same problem as well.

---That you could map a key to target objects with the Telekinesis skill. Sometimes the game wants to make your character try to move closer to throw the item instead of mentally moving it (even for light items like keys), which can get you killed if there's a lava field in the way.

That sounds useful. I've had the lava death happen to me as well.

In other news, I've gotten far into the game this run but I don't think I'll finish. I'm about to enter the Phantom Forest, but I just lose interest in the story at this point and don't want to make the switch to Tenebrium (sp?) weapons. Time to restart, and experience a fun new class build..

Didn't someone mention they wish for a never-ending dungeon? I want that too. All I really care for is the combat.
fyi i'm level 12 & just picked up a wand... goes in my pack and fires from the action bar but still nice.

What does that mean? There are no wands.

There are two-handed staves though.

says wand in the item text... looks like a quest item but I have not used it yet.

I wish for gear filters like select all food or all arrows.

btw can't see doing the mines without some kind of thief to slip past the deathknights but would love to hear about other ways.

Air magic has invisibility at level 7. The aero mage slips past while the others wait at the entrance portal; get past the death knights solo, then the rest of the team use the portal to join up.

Cool basically what my Ranger did then but my level 14 wiz has 5 points in fire and earth (with only 1 point in air and water) so will probably start on wizard spells next for the knight summons.
