GOG DD is 1.0061A (let's hope it has the good from 1.0034 and 1.005), written on main screen of the game. A text file says it's 1.4A.
The configtool can set the resolution to my 1920x1080 screen.
The fonts seem ok, not too much small. But I wanted to increase them a little (my monitor is 21.5") with the DD_V2.0_font_enlargement_patch: it did nothing: else the fonts are already enlarged, else the mod does not work with the GOG game.
My french game is ok: texts, and voices!

That text file has not been updated since the original GOG release (1.4A = 1.004A).

Did you try the disk version font enlargement patch, or the one modified for the download version? The paths listed in the Steam forum topic are not going to be the same for the GOG install, but that will not matter since you need to extract the files into the fonts folder, and run the batch file from there.

I don't know if the font names are the same in the English and French versions of the game. If not, the batch file may need to be modified for each language.

First, Raze_Larian, thanks for being an "ambassador" on this board and answering questions, etc. I appreciate your engagement with the community.

Second... I'm really disappointed that the music bug and some of the other well-known bugs are still not fixed. For me, a big part of the gameplay experience is the music.
I was hoping some of the issues reported after the Steam release would be addressed in the anthology (Larian did say they would look into them), but given the hectic nature of getting that done while working on other games (Hatching the Anthology), apparently they did not have the time to do so.

Except for the music bug, though, most of the remaining issues are relatively minor, are avoidable or are fixable if encountered. I haven't noticed any music issues, but then I have not started a new game in the download version and played through normally, just loaded old save or started a new game and teleport somewhere to check specific things.
So I purchased this game quite awhile ago, played it for a few days but then life caught up (as did other games, a terrible purchasing addiction not withstanding!) and I lost track of it. The version I have is 1.005 (GOG). Would it be best to stay at that version, or apply this patch, not knowing what I don't know (as in, what's missing)? FYI, I have a Win 7 Ult 64-bit system with a 25" HD monitor, dual Xeon CPUs @ 3.8GHz with 8GB RAM, if it matters.

There isn't much difference between 1.005 and 1.0061. Essentially, the source code for the 1.005 version was lost due to problems with the backup, so Larian had to re-do the compatibility fixes for Vista/Win7 and support for higher resolutions and widescreen aspect ratios.

Is new patch/update worth it?
