I contacted GOG Support about this same issue with Warcraft II last week and they said they were working with Blizzard on the issue. I originally tried contacting Blizzard Support about the issue and they claimed that there was no issue with the server, so it must have been something on my end. After several exchanges over 4-5 days with Blizzard Support, where they mostly gave me generic troubleshooting information that they copied from their support pages, they essentially gave up helping me and suggested I contact GOG about the problem. Still doesn't seem to be fixed though.
These issues that people are having with Diablo, when you try getting online it first says "Searching for fastest server" --> "Checking Versions"--------> Then about 30+ seconds later, it changes to saying
"Battle.Net is not responding, please try connecting again in a few minutes"?

Just wanna make sure this is the same exact issue everyone else is having, because I saw a post earlier before I found this one, with someone from Blizzard saying to check Port Forwarding & other stuff with the router.

And before doing everything else, I wanna make sure that my issue is the exact same one as everyone.

I'm having the exact same issue, I'm assuming the servers are not working.. That seems to be the case.
Exact issue for me as well.

I am also having this exact issue along with a friend. Really hope it gets resolved, we both purchased copies from gog specifically to play together online. Thank you for contacting blizzard about it!
