I guess it's just placebo then. I used to play with a mod for Hellfire that fixed a lot of bugs and added some conveniences for multiplayer (such as shared exp for every kill, no need to tag enemies, and showing all players on the minimap), so it's possible that mod altered some enemy stats.

If you are talking about HF 1.02 or 1.03, HF Rebalanced, HF Enhanced or HF:Fixed then nope, not the zombie, it's always 10% tohit. :-)

Then it's just placebo or something. Because I remember them barely ever landing a hit against me in classic, and then switching to Hellfire they were scoring hits on me something like 75% of the time.

Curious; I wonder if Devilutionx fixes the blocking bonus bug, where you only have your classes blocking bonus for the first game and then lose it permanently after that.

One thing I didn't mention before is that in our past games we generally put all of our starting gold to ID scrolls, and I would sell the charged bolt staff to get one extra, with the remaining 30 gold going towards cheap armor buys (and selling the Rogue's bow if more gold is needed). Often Adria would not have enough for us to burn our gold on, so I would leave and rejoin the game and keep refreshing her stock until we had as many as we could buy, and not look at Griswolds stuff until after. Are you guys okay with doing that or would you rather just stick to one Adria check each, and if she is short on ID's, too bad?

It was Baba_nim as the tank warrior, Carson as the damage warrior, LordRage as Rogue and me as Sorc. That was a crazy, crazy fun game.

It depends; if my partner choses to play bard (last time I asked he was still indecisive), we can invest in a res and heal pots. Otherwise we can do it that way, sounds good. :-)

It's easy, just make a copy of your devilutionx folder and remove the files:

hellfire.mpq
hfmonk.mpq
hfmusic.mpq
hfvoice.mpq

Then it reverts to Classic.

But if you guys want to play Hellfire, I'm fine with that. I don't sell the starting staff in that case, because it's basically 18 mana potions on a stick. Monk/Bard/Sorc would be a fun combo I think.
