midrand: Yes, you can carry around one dead naked chick - sole reason probably being because she was shown in 25 pre-launch trailer videos. She is the only one in the whole game - in its big wide mature world.

You've mentioned the strippers / hookers - they look hilarious in this game. I don't think this was due to lack of time - more due to last minute knee jerk design decisions.

Surely removing the "genitals" option would be a really easy fix, especially since it doesn't exactly add anything to the game, unless you're planning to run around naked turkey-slapping people. So the fact that naked schlongs exist in character creation makes me doubt that censorship was the reason the strippers are clothed - I'm still betting on it being they ran out of time to sort them out properly.

Also, I'm pretty sure she's not the only one - though you probably can't carry the others around (I haven't tried), there are other places where one sees naked dead chicks (technically the first one isn't dead).
Naked schlongs during character creation were also widely publicised, spoken about, marketed etc. One could not remove it easily. The rest of the game was less public and thus can be adjusted as "designer choice". I agree that genital customisation does not add anything to the game - and to make the game cohesive and integrated, it could easily be removed.

The not so dead chick is the only one which is still in one piece. You have other half-opened corpses in the world, but those fall into gore category more than nudity. Don't even get me started on how gore is acceptable but nudity is not :)

You might well be right, but that would mean that CDPR's approach to this game is that of a headless chicken which I hope for their sake they are not.

This is probably another poor decision from CDPR Management and there because of this alliance with China, Expect more cuts here and their because Pooh and Friends are pedantic little clowns that get upset and murder journalists because the Party thought they looked bad.

Anthroposcaster: I have been playing, and enjoying CP2077 despite the many MANY MAAAANNNY stupid things PR has done since launch. I have just noticed, (post Hotfix 1.06) that V's vending machine in his apartment has changed... see screenshot.

At first I thought it was just my textures not loading or something, so I tinkered with my graphics settings (at maximum) and rebooted the game and everything. no luck. The texture on the vending machine screen remains pixelated. Now, for those of you who never bothered looking at the screen, it is supposed to be perfectly clear, with many options on it for what V might want. (Accounting for why he doesn't need a kitchen in his place.) This includes "Joygirls, Joyboys, and Braindances) among other things. It makes sense. It's just that little extra bit of emersion.

Well... it;s gone. is it just -my- game? Is this just some stupid texture issue on my save, or is this some pathetic effort at censorship? These whole shit shows have me paranoid.

The last thread on the official forums about the sexual content (https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/why-did-they-make-the-actual-sexual-content-so-scarce.11064773/page-12) had a lot of newbie accounts making the "adult content = porn" argument. Obviously sock-puppets made to make censorship seem popular when it isn't. Last I saw, Alt's and Judy's sex scenes (coincidentally the only scenes with substantial nudity) became the target of complaints, so I'm sure they will be censored/removed at some point.

It's worse than that, some of us were merely asking to be able to be nude in the damn shower.

I know. I have seen every thread that merely has the word "nudity" get locked and I was among those asking to be nude in the shower, and for strippers to actually be stripped because it's immersion breaking for them to be wearing clothes (especially the male strippers!). I got trolled like everyone else asking for that. I argued that there is a difference between porn and nudity but naturally it fell on deaf ears.

I have no idea why CDPR is scrambling to shut people up on this, but Cyberpunk 2077 is the last game I will ever buy from them or GOG.

My best guess.... is they are trying to vastly cut down on texture sizes.
If that's true, every add will end up like that.

Though having textures less then 1k on pc is kind of stupid. :-o
The game uses 7.7GB of VRAM in the city. Downsizing a few textures is not going to make a difference. I strongly doubt that is the reason.

I would have thought that if anything were "censorship", then that would be the fact that there is a distinct lack of naked strippers - whether in clubs or windows, they're almost always (or always?) fully clothed.

However, judging by the state of this game on release, it's probably more the case that they had to prioritize things for release, and I guess whoever was supposed to be working on titties and other naked bits was probably reallocated to stopping dead bodies from embedding themselves in the pavement or something.

Also those sex scenes - not sure we'd gain much by them being more explicit, apart from increasing the comedy factor. At least they're not lovey-dovey cringe material like most media, so there's that at least. IMO the way to "improve" these is to head in the direction of similar scenes in Team America... ;)
Sandra Dorsett is nude but the guy in the tub with her is wearing shorts. He was not wearing shorts in pre-release footage and console users (who sometimes got physical copies before the day 1 patch) report more nudity before December 10th.

Um, many used to be nude, they were later censored, the strippers, I mean, that was a wonderful patch update.

As was the patch update which removed your junk in the shower.

I can't blame you after this kind of business practice, but GOG really only had me mad right now about BLOCKING Devotion from selling here, I loved that title, and they should not have removed it here after promising it.

I had the game since release. I seen the nudity get whittled down. And removing Devotion was a dick move regardless of anything else.

I'm not so sure; the PS4 shares it's system memory with the graphics card and it only packs 8GB to begin with. Wouldn't be the first time they've incorporated changes aimed at alleviating the performance issues on the last gen consoles across the board. The vending machines are little more than clutter for the most part, and I'd guess most players stop really noticing them fairly early into the game in which case even if downgrading them only saves you a few MB it's virtually cost free in terms of player experience. Has anyone checked to see if the vending machines elsewhere have become similarly fuzzy?

But there is no reason for them to downsize the textures on all versions. All of the vending machines I have seen are fuzzy, though.

That is part of why some are upset in the first place, the censorship has zero consistancy, or reasoning. It's like they just chopped a bunch of things haphazardly and left some other content alone.
