install path, admin run. Or alternatively rename _GameservicesGOG.dll file.

Probably better disable Windows DEP security service entirely via CMD command. Never work properly since WinXP, never have proper exclusion settings (and ignore it anyway). Although technically DEP can secure your PC... mmm... secure... make apps execution more correct.

But looks like sometimes block loading of additional dlls (compatibility wrappers from GOG too, galaxy and steam services/drm dlls).
Anyway DEP is last one to blame for application been silently closed or crashed with errors. First of is non secured install location and admin run for both game and games launcher (steam/galaxy/etc).

squid830: Well ever since 2.0, I haven't even been able to reach the title screen or menu, with either 2.0 or 2.1.

Not using mods, updated drivers, tried many ways of cleaning out old drivers and re-installing - so far nothing works.

I don't have Phantom Liberty (and likely won't ever bother getting it), in case that matters...

QWEEDDYZ: strickt security issue of your system. reinstall game (and Galaxy!) to D/Games/Cyberpunk-2077/ and use admin run mode for first launch (for Galaxy too).
I ALWAYS use a "/games/" folder for all games - in this case "G:/games/" for my external SSD. So "security" shouldn't be an issue, no other game complains (and if it did surely the message would be different).

However, what I DID do was edit the config file (that seems to have been created in my user local AppData despite the fact I deleted it entirely), and I manually set all the graphics options in that config file to lower settings, ensuring that DLSS started OFF.

This also didn't work, so then I reinstalled the entire thing from scratch using Galaxy.

For good measure, I also removed and then reinstalled the C++ Runtime 2015-2019, both the 64-bit version and the 32-bit version.

Then I ran the game and it bloody worked!

I'm actually not sure which of those things finally did it - but if I had to guess maybe the C++ runtime? Before that I THOUGHT I had reinstalled it, but it was likely a different C++ Runtime and not that specific one... Either that or the painstaking editing of the config file, but that seems far less likely.
I have tried absolutely everything, the only thing for me was to disable RTX
open game with a flat "-gpuFlag=noRayTracing"
hope it will work 4u
