frogthroat: I think that's the problem. They made promises 6 years ago and they have contractual obligation to keep those promises. But along the way the game grew bigger and bigger and got newer tech, and now the previous gen consoles are just way too outdated and there is no way to fix that since the hardware cannot be changed.

The game needs to be downgraded a lot to make it work on PS4 slim, if such downgrades are even possible.

It might be they have managed to trap themselves. Contracts say previous gen consoles must work but that is not technically possible. Might be they are screwed no matter what. Better code won't upgrade the hardware.

Anyway, good luck and I hope I am wrong.

And yeah, It's a bit obvious they can't code a console into the next gen. I am not a professional but they seem to have a hard time coding in the console space. I think they might have been way out of their element on this one.

How is it inane when the games are suffering from frame loss / frame drops, Input conflict and various other problems and to compensate the player for this elements are slowed down to keep inline with the player to appear that it's not the case therefore JANKY, Skipped sounds you won't notice on a Tv etc etc BUSTED.....

The amount of trickery making you think you're doing something when it's just running sequence would make you cry by the sound of it removing your Elite Controller status and Magnetic aim into a puddle of liquid........

It called solving problems. If the game is playable at constant 30 fps at min, then it is playable and even acceptable. This is the opposite of busted. Therefore, not all games are busted. Moreover, images removed from space and time rely on trickery. They are actually static , but look like they are moving. this includes the top end tech., it is just better at tricking us.

And now, people are complaining that CDPR's new game's main quest is too short...

Either gamers are really spoiled entitled brats, or they have the memory of a goldfish.
Honestly, if I were in CDPR's shoes and there weren't that many commercial interests in the game, I'd just stop breaking my back over something no one will ever appreciate anyway, no matter how much hard work I put into trying to fix it.
It's really frustrating.

Group A thought W3 was too long. Group B was happy with it but thinks CP77 is too short. Simple.

Also people who complain are always "louder" than the people who simply enjoy, which skewers the perception.

Personally I think W3's length was about perfect, and CP77 is pretty damn short, but I also know a lot of people who didn't have the patience and perseverance to play though W3.
