It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Okay so the disabling the overlay made it work for longer but it still crashed, will have a look at the user settings file.

dlat: I'm affected by this. GTX 1070 with latest driver, Win8.1 x64.

Crash report says:
Registered crash info file...

Now today i got an error when i tried to install Win 10 from USB, also referencing 0xC0000005... that's interesting, i wonder what that is about.

Otherwise:

Turbochuck: Try this:

Using file explorer, go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077 and look for the UserSettings.json file. Make a backup of it, just in case you make a mistake. Open the file in notepad and search for "raytracing". You will see an options section with three (in my case) ray tracing options:

RayTracing
RayTracedReflections
RayTracedLighting

Each of the three sections will have a "value" field set to true. Change the "true" to "false", save the file, and try launching the game now.

HollaW: i looked up mine and it is already default at "false" for value.
Tried doing this and the settings were already at false.

I wasn't able to start the game once, but i guess i'm giving them a chance to sift through all the crash reports.

Tried to find this local app data fold, but only a "GOG" fold there, did I missed something?

I just assume because my game didn't even start yet the folder was not created, i guess we all don't have the same error.
i5 4670k+ 10gb ram + gtx 1060 + windows 10

steam user, crashing at startup. cant even get the game to run not a single once
For the most part, I'm having this error. But if I keep trying to restart the game long enough I can eventually get to see the intro movie. Sometimes it'll crash. But then sometimes I can get so far as the character creator. But I never get past that without the game flat-lining on me. I don't have galaxy installed at all, so the fix of just turning it off won't work for me.

1 - update win to latest patch
2 - update drivers to latest
3 - disable smartscreen
4 - add exception to ur AV

one of those should help

digglorgog: Game crashes on startup here too on a GTX 1070 + Win 10. Doesn't even show the main menu. Game files are verified and i'm using the latest NVidia driver from today. Seems like the CrashReporter.exe is buggy which is used to launch the game.

It also throws that error if you launch "Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\CrashReporter\CrashReporter.exe" manually

The stracktrace.txt found in "%LOCALAPPDATA%\REDEngine\REportQueue" shows:

Message: Gpu Crash for unknown reasons! Callstack here is probably irrelevant. Check if Breadcrumbs or Aftermath logged anything useful.
File: e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\gpuapi\src\dx12\gpuapidx12error.cpp(40)
I have exactly same problem, GTX1070 + Win 10.

Same message here.

RX 590 and Windows 10.

Exact same thing here, GTX 1070 on Windows 10.

Looking at the dump file it says a breakpoint was encountered, code is 80000003.
