Just wait for this game end up in the low price basket... By this time it'll be ironically worth the asking price.

JAD2012: Is not that, man, I also didn't pay much attention lately before release, but that trailer and the relationship between you and Jackie it's severly cut. There are a lot of things that were developed just for that trailer... or just cut.

On top of that, the censorship, like you said. You can clearly see in that trailer some strippers that look like actual strippers... and the whole censorship mess with your character.

I don't think Cyberpunk 2077 is a lie. If anything, is another example of corporate greed, very simillar to what happened to Metal Gear Solid V and Konami. Both games have a lot of cut content and rushed development to cash in before the exercise ends, to meet shareholders expectations, and nothing else...

Luckly for us, we know CD Projekt from a long time and they have never let us down, so if anything, at least the game will run as intented in the following months, bugs will be patched out and maybe, we even get some of that cut/censored content back... and if not, I sadly won't buy the expansions back... my wallet speaks louder than my convictions...

wayke: What has been censored I seen some strippers I spotted some chick wearing clear plastic everything was exposed, Also few story moments etc.. I don't know what's censored.
In a dark mature world where sexual theme is rampant you see a handful of exposed characters (if your nudity filter is off). This makes no sense and go against what was previously shown / explained by the developer. That\s what people are unhappy with on the censorship front.

That's pretty sad reason those elements exist it's there it can be in your face if looked for, being naked for the sake of being naked ? to see naked everywhere is not Cyber Punk

I would not call strip clubs, red lights district streets and brothels inappropriate areas to have nudity in an adult game. If you are not comfortable with the "in your face" nudity, there is a nudity filter in game options. There is in your face nudity in the character screen - so what's wrong with having real life level of nudity in real life situations??

I mean I have not seen such overclothed individuals in Amsterdam red light district or a strip club in London - and we as a society have not moved to Cyberpunk level...

Pretty much the "in your face" thing is a thing in the Cyberpunk universe, go read the sourcebook. Also, if you don't like it, turn the filter on. Right now, that filter does nothing because there are only but a handful NPC's that show anything at all.

Too much puritanism and conservadurism, praise be.

This wouldn't be a problem if CD Projekt didn't advertise it so much, but instead, we have a main character that can't take photos naked, can't walk around naked, can't shower naked and can't have sex naked and it's forced to wear a stupid underwear.

Is not for the sake of seeing tits and dicks, that's just a very fucking immature way to think, it's for the sake of immersion and context...

Exactly this, it feels wrong to walk into these "sleazy" areas in the game, and they are more prude than a 19th century establishment... Why have these areas / themes in game if you are going to be so fake about it?

My character takes a shower with his shorts on. Ridiculous. Also, the strippers you mention are probably females, because in my game, all the male strippers wear street clothes and suits. It makes no sense. When he has sex, his penis vanishes.

At a certain point, you need to take responsibilty for your own purchasing decisions. Being mad at Cyberpunk's marketing for doing a good job is absurd. There wasn't any gated off preorder dlc or early access or anything and they offered refunds when nobody else did. It's your own fucking fault if you are still here with a game you don't like.
avatar
rahly: I think it's hilarious that with a refund people still expect to KEEP the game.
avatar
meatwizard: FFS what is with the irrelevant replies in these threads? Not one person in this thread has mentioned getting a refund and keeping the game.

Besides who has even gotten a refund from GOG?
Umm OP brought up "Fixed with a refund". I made a comment on THAT. Obviously you didn't actually READ the post.

I definitely read it. In fact, I read it again in case I missed something and owe you an apology. I didn't and I don't.

Your first reply was irrelevant and your last one makes ZERO sense. Seriously, how does "fixed with a refund" equate to someone asking for a refund and keeping the game?

I'm willing to argue about petty shit, so let's try again if you want.

scrubking: We were expecting them to deliver what they advertised.

DarkZephyr: I guess I just didn't pay as much attention to the hype as others did.
Now that is a massive deflection. Calling released footage of the game "hype". Hype is about how good you think the features will be, not what features the developers tell you the game will have.

We might as well say all the "hype" about the COVID vaccine is crap because developers don't have to fulfill their promises anymore. They could just deliver sugar water and blame the infirm when they get sick. "Sorry, you shouldn't have bought into the hype that we could produce a working vaccine in a few months... all your fault."

Nope. At a certain point people need to accept that it is illegal to market something as something it is not. That's why every single toy commercial has "toys cannot move on their own" because if you're lying in your marketing you're committing a crime.

Except - for PC at least- provided you're not running a system more then 4-5 years old- it's easy to have excellent performance and it looks good. The amount of vitriole is fucking rediculous.

Toys are literally defined by their physical nature. Video games differ based on the settings of the game and capabilities of the machine.

You have a last-gen comparable machine? Congrats. You get last-gen performance. You shouldn't expect different you fucking idiot.

My settings are fairly maxed with moderate RTX settings and performance is good.

But the game isn't great.

That's an objective viewpoint though. From this architects eye- it's incredible compared to the garbage typically released the last few years. The level of thought that went into the city far surpasses things in other fictional cities, and sets a new bar there.

Now, I can wish it had more to the hacking, and more to the crowds' reactions (really any sort of more realistic reactions on that end would be a huge improvement)- but it's still better then what most games that are called AAA and hailed by the gaming community.

Many call CoD great- I think it's pure trash.

Cod is trash it could be more but Hybrid Peer serving ruins any FPS it's not 1993 anymore.

People having rage fits about how bad the game is, have probably not been interested in all the details that're included.
