if you use the DXWnd to run this game go to the CD audio section under edit and make one change from default that is to click on the button that says Use audio files and then click ok and the audio files including music will play no problem

credit to the one who showed me how to get this game running

Thanks for the info! For anyone else who didn't have the "Extended options" selected, you need to do that first before this tab will appear.
