First off I really appreciate the option being there - if possible I always deactivate as much as possible for the, imho, better and more importantly, more immersive experience. That also let's you enjoy the scenery without things getting in the way/covering up parts of the screen.

However - the absence of the cursor and the visualisation of the creature's echolocation/roar and the checkpoints' response to the creature's roar when set to "Off" is a little too much, at least for the first playthrough.

Don't know if that's asking for too much, but how about a third setting for the HUD's visibility toggle that does the same as "Off" except that it wouldn't hide the cursor and the echolocation's visualisation?

Could be called "Cursor + Visual Feedback Only" or something along those lines.
Would have to make an exception for displaying the environmental descriptions ("a patch of antediluvian moss", etc) when interacting with things as a human as well.

Nothing too unreasonable to ask for.
Currently playing with the HUD turned off and still struggle a bit with the missing cross-hair too, so I wouldn't mind having this third setting at all. Wasn't even aware of the key prompts and lore bits being hidden as part of the disabled HUD.
Those are some perfectly viable suggestions! We'll see what we can do :)

Thanks for looking into it, much appreciated.

Also might want to hit up GoG for the super-special orange developer font colour, if you haven't already.

Haven't booted up Carrion in quite a while but am thinking about starting another playthrough for Samhain - has the suggested third HUD setting (everything Off except for the cursor, the roar/echolocation's visualisation and the descriptions when interacting with the environment) made it into the game in the meantime?
