Hi everyone!
I got it isntalled but how we do to change the resolution? it is at 320x240 but i want to play at least at 800x600 so how we do?
I went to setup and changed it, but when i play it, is always at 320....
Can someone help me please!
and BTW, great for uploading this game, i love it!
Cheers!

I'm trying to get 800 x 600, but can only get 320 x 200 in-game.

I set 800 x 600 in Blood's setup (the text mode one). I check blood.cfg and it does store the settings correctly:

[Screen Setup]
ScreenMode = 1
ScreenWidth = 800
ScreenHeight = 600

When I start the game, it's still 320 x 200, as far as I can tell, so even things in the distance look really blocky.
From within the game, higher resolution can be selected, but the one on the top always says '320 x 200 (default)' and refuses to change.

I tried opengl, overlay, ddraw output modes, none make a difference

From my DOSbox.conf:

[sdl]
fullscreen=TRUE
fulldouble=true
fullresolution=800x600
windowresolution=original
output=overlay

[dosbox]
machine=svga_s3

[render]
frameskip=0
aspect=true
scaler=hq2x

Can someone post their dosboxBlood.conf with settings that gave them higher res?

Thanks!
I just found a config that looks decent, with stronger colors and smoothed edges:

[sdl]
fullscreen=TRUE
fulldouble=true
# fullresolution=my desktop resolution
fullresolution=1680x1050
windowresolution=original
# I have AMD GPU, so avoid OpenGL
output=overlay
autolock=true
# mouse was too twitchy, so reduced to 50%
sensitivity=50
waitonerror=true
priority=higher,normal
mapperfile=mapper.txt
usescancodes=true

[dosbox]
language=
machine=svga_s3
captures=capture
memsize=128

[render]
frameskip=0
aspect=true
scaler=supereagle
hello everyone, hoping someone knows whats going on. I downloaded the game with no issue, i ran the game and got some serious problems. Often the level will start with no hud or crosshair on screen, ive tried every type of res, and graphic option but nothing works, the game always crashes after 10min of gameplay. OS-Windows 8. And can anyone tell me how to get a refund?

The no HUD & crosshair bug is more often associated with Blood 2: The Chosen issue, rather than with Blood 1, can you confirm it is Blood 1 you are having an issue with?

If it is the original Blood, you might try checking your dosboxBlood.confg file for the overlay setting mentioned above and that your machine type is set to vesa_nolfb
machine=vesa_nolfb

To display the cross-hair in Blood 1, press the "U" key in game, this is generally mapped to display the cross-hair.

If you have Blood 2 you can try running it with the dgVoodoo 2. This is a wrapper for old DirectX games to work with current versions of Windows.

hey, yea it was blood2.
Hi, im also trying to up the resolution above 800 x 600.

I set it to 1024 x 768. I'm getting weird graphical glitches like my HUD, weapon, and certain objects during gameplay are flashing nonstop. Is it because the resolution is too high?

I feel like I sing the praises of this patch a lot, but it fixed every single one of my resolution issues and all the intermittent crashing. Hope it works for you.
