Some of these replies....
First of all, I never said that having the Beta on Steam was unreasonable, I don't even need to check my old replies to know this is the case, I said it was a warning sign, because this dev showed how little they care about GOG users by how they treated paying customers who bought Necropolis.
Their games are fine, I don't even hate Necropolis, but the way we were screwed, and ignored because some of us decided to believe the dev when they said they were working on a promised feature! Despite them almost certainly never giving it a second glance, that's very anti-consumer, and that's why I created this thread, to give people the information needed, promised features on GOG doesn't mean anything to this dev, from the sound of things they have delivered on this game so far, doesn't erase what they did, or didn't do with one of their previous games.
Eisberg even said it, even though he was being a dick about it, because this dev can do no wrong in his eyes, but the core message is worth remembering, especially with this anti-consumer dev. "not buy games till all the features/fixes you want are in the game."
Never preoder from HBS on GOG.
