Hello there Patejl (svatý Patejl hmmm divocí a zlý?)

Try this it worked out for me hour ago, here on Incubation forum by Hommelwomb.

forum/battle_isle/complete_stepbystep_guide_on_how_to_install_incubation_on_windows_10

(cannot post link)

After that setup only difference in compatibility setting:

Windows 7
Turn off screen optimalization
Start as Admin

I hope that it will help!

ps: Dva češi po roce v odstupu 5 hodin zkouší stejnou vykopávku nice :D

tumu90: I dont' know which, but a combination of these suggested ideas works on windows 11 as well. I have
- installed directx
- run as administrator and in w95 compatibility
- replaced the sound.dll and copied as audio.dll as well
- set the 3dfx via the settings executable
- restarted
- run via the desktop shortcuts
- sound works, external 4k monitor with nice aspect ratio works
Can confirm.

After also having replaced both .dll files and launching the game using the "W95 compatibility mode", the game runs perfectly on W10. Either on software or Glide mode.
Thank you for the suggestion.

Windows 11 here.

This worked for me:

Get .dll files from moddb.com/mods/incubation-blue-byte-25-years-anniversary-mod/downloads/incubation-windows-10-patch

Launch Settings.exe with compatibility mode for Windows 7.

And...
to run it on a higher resolution I have used: zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide

Martin_Lagdan: Guys, I was reading some tips from GOG and above steps (sound.dll) which have not worked for me at all - I did one thing: I run the launcher.exe with the compatibility mode as WIN7
Off all things I tried, this was the one thing that made it work!
Thanks!

EDIT:

Steps
1. Install GOG version
2. After install copy(overwrite) the audio and sound DLL from the nexus mods 25th Anniversary edition into the GOG install location (could also use "Incubation_Windows_10_Fix.zip")
3. Set launcher.exe in windows 7 compatibility mode
4. Run launcher.exe

(Saves stored in "Work" folder within the GOG install location)

I think an issue might be that if you do the GOG install and then immediately run it, something gets set within the game-files and if you then attempt to do a fix, nothing works. However if you do an reinstall and after install do the fix then run the game chances, of success are higher. In short: do not launch after install, do fix first. Again this is just an assumption I could be wrong here.
