I would like to start a list of all the encounters where you can earn a point for doing a good deed. The first one I can think of is returning Joia's flamedance ring at the Friendly Arm Inn, Please try to post only one at a time to keep the thread going for a little while.
I really wish people would state what game they are referring to in forums catering for multiple versions.

Also, please kill one of your double posts -- refer people to the other -- otherwise you're going to have total confusion in a thread that has the potential to run for some time.

I don't know how I double posted and I am referring to BG1 sorry.

There are two versions of BG1. Original and Enhanced.
I can think of one off the top of my head (BG1): when you get an angel skin ring hold on to it. When you get to Baldur's Gate head over to the Flaming Fist barracks and go into the main lobby. Talk to one of the soldiers there and he'll ask you to get him an angel skin ring so he can get hitched. I think you have to talk to him a second time but after that you'll gain a reputation point.

A non meta way of doing this is selling all your stuff to a limited number of shopkeepers (which I do). Not every shop owner will buy everything but if you limit yourself to two or three it'll be easier to back track and re-buy the ring.
Here's one method (for at least BG2) that takes advantage of the fact that dismissing Viconia gives you reputation:

1. Get a lot of gold (i.e. via scroll/gem underflow, fence abuse (BG2 only), or by simply earning money through normal gameplay)
2. Donate money to the temple until your reputation is near the middle
3. Recruit Viconia
4. Donate money until you have 18 reputation
5. Dismiss Viconia

You now have 20 reputation without having to actually do any good deeds.

at this point I am only familiar with Old School any new encounters that might have been added to the enhanched version would be greatly appreciated.
First, I think you should add "spoilers warning" to top of your first message. Just to be on the safe side.

You earn +1 Reputation when you give a copy of the book "The History of the Fateful Coin" to Firebead in Beregost.
Friendly Arm Inn: Return Joia's ring +1
Beregost: Give Firebead Elvenhair's book +1
Beregost: Complete Bjornin quest +1
Beregost: Sell Officer Vai all scalps after clearing bandit camp +1
Nashkel: Clear up Oublek misunderstanding +1
Nashkel: Save captain Bradge +1
Nashkel: Investigate the mines +1
Nashkel mines: Help Prism +1
Waterfall map: Help the dryad +1
Waterfall map: Give dead cat to girl +1
Map south of Ulcaster: Save the cow attacked by xvarts +1
Lighthouse map: Search for missing son +1
Archaeological site: Help Charleston +1
Map north of FAI: Give money to farmer after finding dead son +1
Basilisk map: Cast stone to flesh on statue, demand no reward +1
Cloakwood mine: Flood mines saving the miners +2
Baldur's Gate: Help Brielbara +1
BG: Find Nadine missing boy +1
BG: Return Noralee gauntlets +1
BG: Kill sirines for Cordyr +1 only if rep <= 7
BG: Help Ghorak +1
BG: Give an angel skin ring to Fergus +1
BG: Solve Seven Suns quest for Scar +2
Well, I could give a complete list, but since OP wants to have these one at a time to keep the thread going, here's one:

Location east of Nashkel mines (Gibberling mountains) - bring wounded Samuel to Gellana Mirrorshade at the Friendly Arm Inn (reputation +1).

well, looks like gunman shot this thread down, thanks anyway
Sorry, I missed the part of posting one at a time. But there still may be quests that I missed, such as the one posted by Tuthrick above.
Yes, there are some that you didn't mention, here's another one:

Location High Hedge and the area to the south (Red Canyons) - bring Melicamp to Thalantyr, if the spell will be successfull you'll gain +1 to reputation.
If you can get a script that calls ReputationInc() with a positive value to execute, your reputation will increase. I believe this function is called during the normal course of the game, but if you are into writing your own AI scripts and don't mind cheating, you could put this into a party AI script.

Calling it with a negative value will decrease your reputation.

There's also ReputationSet() which sets your reputation to a certain value. (Is this called anywhere in the game?) (Also, what happens if you try to set it to something less than 1 or greater than 20?)

Hmmm... I see that the previous action in the list is IncrementChapter(). I have a feeling that putting that into an AI script could cause very strange things to happen. (What happens if you are already on the final chapter?)

Do you give a flying fuck about the original question in *any* thread that you reply to?
