Sooo what's the lowest spec anyone has gotten BG3 to run on?

I'm happily playing DOS and DOS2 on my HD4000-equipped X230 and BG3 doesn't look like it should be any more demanding, assuming you can dial down the graphics. Is it worth trying or should I just tap out now...?
The Intel HD 4000 has about 1GB of Vram, and the game requires at least 3GB.
*Actually* requires or just "That's what it says in the requirements"?

I'd rather hear from someone who's tested it on real hardware rather than just speculation.
It's an igpu, and an old one at that. You won't get far with modern releases. If you really don't trust the requirements, go the bad reviews of any game released this year. You'll find people with underspec'd computers giving it the lowest rating simply because they can't run it. Which is clearly the game's fault and nobody else's.
So yeah, if anyone has tried it on actual low-end hardware, chip in and let me know!
i7 7700HQ 2.80ghz 16g ram GTX 1050ti

My specs , I consider it upplayable at high, haven't tried lower than that.
my specs = https://valid.x86.fr/wccle8
i play on high with dirrect X
Hmm, interesting... is there an FPS counter? What sort of FPS are you two getting with those specs?

Do you have any feel for if the game is more CPU-limited or GPU-limited?
it feels more Cpu than Gpu ... outside the story cut-vids of course

I returned it for a refund, sorry I cant check now.
Thanks guys; I think I'll wait until one of the HD4000 youtube channels picks it up to see how it works.

I was considering buying it to test but it's too expensive to risk not being approved for a refund...

It doesn't look graphically intense enough to need such high specs but modern games seem to have worse and worse optimisation that I'm not going to risk it...

I already got bitten by the recent darksiders game, which looks worse than dungeon siege 3 but at the same time somehow runs worse...

Gog is no questions asked refund up to 30 days with early acces, how can you not be approved/
The game is gorgeous to look at, thats why the specs are high.
I'm getting concerned since I've only been able to run the game once. I get nothing but launch crashes after playing for 2 hours Friday with no issues. I know I meet reqs, only thing that could be "old" about my rig is OS is win 7. I'm guessing they hosed an update or one got pushed while I was playing that broke things.

Have you tried not using the launcher? If you have Galaxy, go to the two lines with circles in them at the top of the page. Click it and mouse over to "manage installation". After that, click on "show folder". In this folder, you'll see something that says "Launch Baldur's Gate 3". Double click on it.

well yes officially i.e, as told by Larian the min spec are Windows 10 64 bit and Gog just copy pastes the same old bullshit from one game to another which is why it says Win 7, 8 and 10 on the gog page... they just don't give two shits because you can ask for your money back
