Yes, those things can and do happen. More frequently, perhaps, than you might think.

More than that: Someone can have XY chromosomes, but their Y chromosome fails to properly activate and develope androgens. The child physically develops as female .... and short of a genetic test, NOT EVEN A DOCTOR WOULD HAVE A CLUE that their chromosomes were not XX.

Clearly you didnt learn enough or you would know that the sex in the brain supercedes the sex in the chromosomes.

I mentioned trisomy 23 earlier with the example of 47,XXY or Klinefelter's Syndrome. 47,XYY syndrome is another variant. However, these trisomies do not cause intersex conditions; 47,XXY and 47,XYY persons are male with male genitalia since the SRY gene is functional and present in a Y chromosome.

Translocation to the X chromosome of the SRY gene, which actually decides sex based on the chromosomes present in pair 23, will result in females with XY chromosomes. XX males are also possible if the SRY gene translocates to the end of either X chromosome. People with these abnormal karyotypes have one thing in common: they identify as their birth sex as adults.

Conversely, since sex chromosome trisomies or translocations are exceedingly rare, it is clear practically no transgenders suffer from these conditions. Therefore, the existence of sex chromosome trisomies and SRY translocations is irrelevant to the question "Is a trans man a man and is a trans woman a woman?".

Short answer, inconclusive. We think meditation may increase diffuse connections throughout the medial prefrontal area and hippocampus via encouraging growth of dendritic spines and that 5-HT may modulate this. However, again, nothing is set in stone which I want to emphasize as I do dislike making a statement unless I can prove it to be true.

Unfortunately, I do not think we will be able to change the minds of the hardened members from the Cult of Woke here no matter how much science is thrown at them. My only hope is that the devs do not cave to this political ideology which seems to want to erode at the foundations of Western Enlightenment. 1) Biological sex isn't that simple. Chromosomes are way more complicated then that--XYY is more common that schizophrenia, and the majority of people who have it never even realize they do but go their whole life thinking their normal males. That isn't even getting into the weird things that can happen with hormones--androgen resistance is a real thing that can make a genetic XY person develop with a completely female body--or gene transposition like having a partial X chromosome overwrite the Y chromosome etc. Biological sex has *always* been more complicated then than the hard XX/XY dichotomy we simplify it as.

2) Biological sex has *nothing* to do with gender. There can be and have been and currently *are* many, many societies with more than two gender positions, sometimes five or six, and which gender you fall into is a social and psychological construct that is interrelated to how your biological sex is perceived by both yourself and others but is not dependent on it.

3) I don't know that you're bigoted, but you are *definitely* ignorant. That's not a *value* judgement, it's a statement about your lack of knowledge regarding the genetics, physiology, and anthropology of both sex and gender.
