SarahGabriella, to answer your question in a simple way now that I've PLAYED the game and can comment with substance:

1. There are people of colour in the game. Of all colours - white, yellow, red, green blue, black, and then multiple shades of all these colours. They are everywhere - PC, NPC, random folks. There are women, men, children and everything in between. They can have hair, be bold, have horns, etc etc etc

2. LGBT - there are clearly characters of all types of sexual orientation. Without giving too much away, I was shocked that all characters in my party offered themselves as bed companions at a certain point. Regardless of their gender and my gender. So maybe fairly promiscuous, but certainly diverse. The situation did not really call for all of them offering themselves, but they did anyway, so here goes.

If this does not answer your question, then I don't know what does.
