On the available download list of patches for Baldur's Gate 3, we get these:

patch_baldurs_gate_3_Release_-_v4.1.1.3636828_-_Patch_Patch0_Hotfix3_(66686)_to_Release_-_v4.1.1.3645567_-_Pat ch_Patch0_Hotfix4_Loca_fix_(66833)

then this came after...
patch_baldurs_gate_3_Release_-_v4.1.1.3636828_-_Patch_Patch0_Hotfix3_(66686)_to_Live_-_v4.1.1.3648072_-_Patch_ Patch0_Hotfix4_Launcher_fix_(66847)

It gives an error. Cannot be installed, because, like the older one, it regards to v4.1.1.3636828

And that means that
patch_baldurs_gate_3_Live_-_v4.1.1.3648072_-_Patch_Patch0_Hotfix4_Launcher_fix_(66847)_to_Live_-_v4.1.1.366943 8_-_Patch_Patch1_Loca_fix_(67039)
Won't be able to be installed too.

The offline patches are broken because of this.
We need an intermediary patch for -v4.1.1.3645567 to v4.1.1.3648072, so we can keep updating the game.
Or change the patch
patch_baldurs_gate_3_Release_-_v4.1.1.3636828_-_Patch_Patch0_Hotfix3_(66686)_to_Live_-_v4.1.1.3648072_-_Patch_ Patch0_Hotfix4_Launcher_fix_(66847)
to a proper transition

If you installed this one (a GOG mistake), you'll have to download the full installer again. (uninstall, then reinstall from the most recent full installer (Patch 1))

Same problem here, feared as much.

I'll just uninstall BG3, then reinstall with my original files I downloaded and patch up from there, not making the same mistake of using the "bad" hotfix4 update GOG has on here.

Hopefully all goes smooth then, not looking forward to downloading those 29 parts again (at around 6min/4gb-part)
Seems like maybe they should take the bad patch down.
Warning!

The latest patch requires an ADDITIONAL ~100GB of free disk space to patch, on TOP of the ~150GB of space the game takes up.

This is HALF of my total disk space, not free space.

It's an awesome game, but having to dedicate almost my entire computer just to playing it is kinda crazy.
I have noticed recently that GOG prioritizes the upkeep of the games they sell so much more thru their Galaxy program. If you use Galaxy the games are kept up to date np. If you prefer to download manually, update files are provided when they feel like getting around to it, and if a patch drops on a Friday you're SOL for the weekend or longer. It's becoming obvious to me that at this point they're providing the manual download service only because that's what they're known for. I believe they would go Galaxy only with their games ala Steam if they could get away with it without incurring massive community outrage. This opinion is based on my experience with multiple games on GOG now. I don't know how the rest of the community is feeling atm but for me I'm at the tipping point of just saying if the reason why I buy my games on GOG isn't working properly more often than not then I might as well just buy my games elsewhere. Infact I think I will go buy another copy of BG3 on Steam and play the current version without any hassles. I can't say I didn't support GOG, at this point it would be more accurate to say that GOG didn't support it's customers. I'll be on the floor in shock if this get's resolved anytime during the weekend since it's now Friday. And if anyone from GOG sees this, we don't want apologies, we want better service. Most people don't have money to waste of subpar services in the current economy.
General comment on computers:

I would strongly suggest to always store your data on multiple external harddrives.

Multiple because you should keep at least two copies of everything.

Its also a good idea to have multiple harddrives on your computer - ideally one for the system and the swapfile and tempfiles etc, one for programs, and one for your current data. Which is a workset, not the actual storage. This way you have not only more order, but also the best possible performance.

Well, thats the ideal, anyway.

They did provide the offline installer version of the latest patch just a few hours ago?

And even if it would have taken until Monday next week - no big deal either, as far as I'm concerned.
Don't know about the Us of A but over here in Yurp no work on weekends means no work on weekends (in most lines of work), period.

I mean seriously...I should have never turned my back on Steam

Update:
Was able to correct the issue by update via GOG Galaxy.
Hope new patches come up correctly.
Maybe I was too greedy with applying a patch as soon as it came up.
Anyway. The warning is sent. GOG devs, please fix your offline patch list.
It's a bit obnoxious that this is still an issue. What's the point of providing offline patchers if you're not going to maintain a proper upgrade path? For context, the patch that has the problem was released over a week ago.

Not sure what the issue is?

There was the slight mishap that they initially skipped an iteration but this was fixed shortly after.

Since then the patch offline installers have been rolling out in relatively timely manner, and there have been zero problems with applying them either, if you pay attention. In fact I continue to be surprised by how quick everything gets updated, especially when compared to patching something similarly complex and ridiculously large as Cyberpunk 2077, which consistently takes ages to update via the patch offline installers.

Three things.

1. This does not make it a technically well developed process to require 100GB to patch something.
2. This further does not mean that it is not a fair warning that people are going to need to make sure they have 100GB free to apply the patch.
3. Finally, wealth shaming me for not being able to afford a bigger hard drive is not the best look. If I weren't given the game as a gift, I wouldn't have it, and the computer I play it on was also a gift, or I wouldn't have a machine even capable of running it. Just because YOU are financially secure enough that you have the disposable income to just drop another terabyte into your system does not mean everyone can.
Does anyone know where i can get older patches? I am currently on hotfix 2.1, but the oldest installer I can see, starts with hotfix 3.0. So I would need 2.1 -> 3.0 patch.
