We saw an opportunity to strike in relatively open tunnels against the invader - lest we wait till we were wholly pulverised by far-flung magics. The resulting battle was a loss for us, but hopefully, for the other side as well.

We fought a battle a day earlier than expected. Results were as expected and planned though... Many long time friends were lost, but that is the cost of righteous war.

With the hand of authority and the Gods on our side, we shall persevere against the three forces assembled against us.
