I bought this game from GoGamer last year. It's a decent Haloesque sci-fi shooter. It gets pretty hard after the 2nd act/mission/chapter, however.
Last time I checked this game had sound issues during cinematics even on systems with recommended specs. The official site offers no patches or updates, but I hope gog.com at least tested the game on modern configurations before adding it to their catalog.
Lated edit: also, this game was intended as a first part of a trilogy , and ends with "To be continued..." The rest of the games were never made and there's a high probability they will never be made.

I got this by Gamstar magazine bundle. But I wonder the GOG vesion will be different? I mean they (can) fix the cash problem or the game support widescreen? Oh, and what comic the gift? I buy also the official prequel comic #1 from ebay, but the other issues... Too rar and expansive.
By the way the game is superior. One of the best sci-fi games ver. Cause the story and special powers.
Is this a patched version? Either way I think I'm picking this up.
anyone know how to fix the whole camera spins uncontrollably to the left problem?

Do you have a gamepad? If so, try unplugging it.
I remember getting this game for xbox when it originally released. Love this game. Ticks me off to think the continuations won't be made.
Does this game support the Xbox 360 controller?

All games here are tested on modern configs...wouldn't be much point in selling them otherwise.
As for the trilogy, who knows...maybe with decent sales here and from Shadow Complex, they'll be able to put at least one out. They've got Epic behind them now...
I picked this up. Its a bit flawed technically (there are some pretty bad bugs etc.) but its still worth playing and the music is great.
I remember there were some camera panning issues and some clipping and especially target lock on issue in the Xbox version and I think most of these issue crop up on the PC version but I will find out soon :)
The Trilogy is pretty much dead since the game did poorly and I don't think the team is intact. The world of Advent Rising just never picked up steam in the gaming community . But never say never.

They had planned for a LOT more than a trilogy. This was supposed to be an "epic franchise". The buyers just didn't respond.
Yeah, I'm having some glitches, too. The game crashed on me as I was trying to play the combat tutorial.

Yeah, it crashes quite often (three or four times for me so far), but not to the point of making it unplayable. Quite the opposite, actually - I'm enjoying it a lot, crashes and all.

You can get it working, but you'll need xpadder for the triggers and you'll have to manually edit the axes for the thumbsticks in the game's .ini files.
As for the continuation of the series, I hope the original creators who are now at Chair entertainment will try to pick it up again some day. After getting some experience with their current endevaours. The game really deserves it.

I got a feeling that Epic bought Chair to keep them doing Live Arcade games so if they do continue the story I think they will crop up there. But only time will tell.
