Post-Release Hotfix #1
Posted: Sat, August 20, 2016 @ 2:48 AM CEST

The Zen Edition has been out for three days, and there have been many new players, along with many bugs to fix.

Here is the latest patch and I'm working to fix new bugs as they come up!

Improvements:
o Added controller logging for better controller troubleshooting
o Can have more than one controller/input device plugged in (ie. steering wheel + gamepad)
o Added WASD controls. (sorry I forgot!)
o Game engine updated to Unity 5.3.6p2

Fixed:
o Fixed controllers vibrating if the car crashes right before the pause screen or on game over.
o PS4 controllers should work on SteamOS now.
o Minor bug where the Lighthouse in World 5 in Free-Roam had an incorrect collider.
o Max frame-rate is limited to roughly 200FPS to fix some UI glitches.

Known Issues:
o OSX: Crash when entering midnight events. Look here for updates.
o OSX: crash on startup. This has been temporarily fixed on some machines by skipping the Splash Screen.
o Some people have reported problems completing The Completionist achievement.
o Car sometimes starts in reverse or neutral when restarting an event.
o Glitches with the pause screen or game over animation. Try turning v-sync on if this happens to you.

It's been great seeing all the new feedback from the new Update, see you on the leaderboards!

Minor Update (Beta)
Posted: Wed, March 8, 2017 @ 5:28 AM CET

Hello My Children,

Been working on minor update which addresses a few lingering issues with Absolute Drift.

It is undergoing Beta testing, access it by opting-in to the [beta] branch in the steam client.

Improvements:
o Game Audio mutes when minimizing the game.
o Scraping the ground doesn't kill the multiplier anymore.
o Wall tapping doesn't kill the multiplier as easily now. (However, if you wall-tap very hard, it will).
o Added a quick restart button to the controls.
o Added a clutch button to the controls.
o Made the Hoonivan slightly larger to reduce its competitive advantage.
o Updated the game engine to Unity 5.6.
o Updated the input system, which should hopefully fix Win 10 + Xbox controller bugs.
   o Added more Sake.

Fixes:
o Controller vibration continuing after an event ends.
o Car momentarily starting in reverse when restarting an event.
o A couple missions in World 5 free-roam that weren't consistently detecting spins.
o Falling through the level in World 5 if you hit a certain place at a certain angle.

Post Bugs (see 1st changelog)

And follow @AbsoluteDrift for the latest updates!

GOG Offline Installer (11.08.2021 19:00 CET):
   o Lin:   1.0g (49143 - NOT WORKING) on 11. Aug. 2021
   o Win: 1.0g (49142) on 17. June 2021
   o Mac: 1.0g (47864) {marked on by GOG Download page as 1.0f?} on 17. June 2021

# JMB:
# The current engine is Unity 2017.4.16f1 ... this is absolutely ok, but somehow unexpected,
# as Unity 2019.4.8f1 is used in the demo version of the successor "Art of Rally":
# https://funselektor.itch.io/art-of-rally (GOG missed the demo ... unfortunately - but not final game:
#
# So "Absolute Drift" got finally available for GNU/Linux as announced by GOG ... after nearly 2 months:
# but unfortunately this build was broken - at least for me.
# On a very fast AMD system I waited 3 minutes - only seeing a white screen and a mouse cursor ...
# so I have just contacted the devs and hope to hear of them soon ... so stay tuned if you want to play
# the GNU/Linux version!
# Unfortunately, GOG did overreact again and put the Linux icon and info about GNU/Linux OS down (12.08.) ...
# but still noting that "Linux version will be available at a later date."
# GOG can really drive their customers crazy - what about a real info about timescale or the problem?
# But at least they corrected their error ...
#
# The broken GNU/Linux version was fixed one month later with 1.0g2 (49808)!
#         Have Fun !
#

Nice!
There are no new changelogs available (AFAIK) ... but we got two updates.
Below are the current GOG versions generally available for the three platforms.

   o Win: 4e17697 (55729)
   o Mac: 4e17697 (55729)
# The update on GNU/Linux for GOG Offline installer (released 07.09.2021, 18.03.2022, and 11.05.2022) was:
#   1.0g2 (49808) 1st working GOG version => d14b5a4 (54436) => 4e17697 (55731).
#   Unity engine: 2017.4.16f1 (pure 64 Bit) [i.e. no change]
