I had a blast playing Onrush while it lasted. I think many people were incorrectly thinking it is a standard racing game where your ultimate goal is to be in first place. But the game was basically a team vs team objective based game that happens to be on roads with vehicles.
If this game would release today as a free to play game monetized by skins and a season pass, I think it would be a lot more successful.
This was my single most wanted game the year it came out, and it did not disappoint, the soundtrack, the ever varied environments, the gameplay mechanics, OW on wheels really
PC Port was slated, finished, never released for people to save the online aspects, and without online it was a quarter of the experience, i havent experienced that memorable of an online racing experience since that closure, and id pay good money to play that even 100 hours more with a group of real players, jamming to CMD/CTRL and tearing up the track as we race through the stampede, Dynamo Gang
Onrush was one of the first games i had ever played online back in 2016, and it's remained rent free in my head ever since. Onrush reminds me a lot of the absolute chaos of Need for Speed most wanted, but with the beauty of forza. The different vehicles allowed for so much variety, from the sleek and quick motorbike for objective focused gameplay, to the powertrip of choosing the enforcer and just bulldozing everyone who came close to you. This game was so much fun to play, it deserves a second chance at life
Jet Set Radio FutureJet Set Radio Future is a video game developed by Smilebit and is the sequel to Jet Set Radio. Similar to the original, it depicts a future Tokyo where freedom of expression is outlawed. The user plays a character in the GG's, a gang of in-line skating graffiti artists who skate around Tokyo covering up rival gangs' graffiti, knocking over Rokkaku police, and dancing to the electric soundtrack. The game uses a cel-shaded style of animation, and has been widely acclaimed for its unique music style, detailed art, and gameplay.
