What can be said about Chrono Trigger that a reader does not know? It was and still is considered to be the greatest RPG of all time. Never before or since has the balance of flowing gameplay, creatively passionate story-telling, beautifully artistic artwork and music come together in such a perfect execution of a gaming experience. It is one those things that helped define a generation and added to our culture in a way that will never be forgotten by anyone who experiences it. An adventure that defies age with an, ironically, timeless presentation. This was one of the crowning achievements of the 16bit era and was part of what earned that time the definition of the "Golden Age of Gaming". The PC remakes have preserved that experience need to be here at GOG along with the Final Fantasy and Mana series!

I've first found this game while exploring the SNES catalog a few years back, and it came out not only as a great game for 1995, but as a great game in 2021 too. It's one of THE games you need to play if you want to experience a JRPG, even more if you have any connection with either Square-enix, Final Fantasy or Akira Toriyama's work. Chrono Trigger CAN NOT be lost to time

I played this game first in 1999... It was magical!! Like no other game I had played. It was the first JRPG I played and it's my favorite game of all time. I really got hooked with Crono and his friends. I waited for many years for it to come out on PC... Suddenly in 2018 it appeared out of nowhere in the Steam store and without further I bought it. It was heavily criticized for some bugs and even for the graphics, but it was enjoyable without any problems and at least I didn't suffer from any bugs except for a few texts... My Chrono Trigger had arrived on the PC. When I watched the intro again and heard the music from the first time travel after a lot of of time, I felt an indescribable emotion... Like the first time I played it!! It has had multiple updates by now and I think most of those who complained about bugs and graphics are happy now. Now I have more than 100 hours played and all the achievements obtained and to date I enjoy it like a child. I would love to have it on GOG and add 100 or 200 more hours!! This is really really a Good Old Game and a Really Good Old Memory!!
While Chrono Trigger is a game I never played growing up and ended up playing when it turned 20 years I can honestly say this is a perfect game. The combat, the music, the art, the story. Everything about this game is absolutely brilliant. While a lot of people want a remaster, which to each their own, I think the original SNES version and Nintendo DS version are the two must to own. However having it available DRM-free on GOG would be a dream as I could introduce more people to this fantastic game and have them pick them up later to finish. I’ve never cried with a game as much as I did with this – y’all know what I’m talking about.

In my humble opinion, this is the greatest game of all time. I spent my childhood immersed in this masterpiece on the SNES, and no other version has ever captured its magic quite the same way. The original needs to make a comeback—none of that watered-down Steam version or even the DS port. Bring back the true OG! What made this game unforgettable? The storytelling, the unforgettable characters, the time-traveling adventure, and that incredible soundtrack. Every moment felt meaningful, and every choice shaped an epic journey. It wasn’t just a game—it was an experience. Who did you play this game with? Mostly by myself, but I’d share the adventure with friends, talking about secrets, strategies, and favorite moments. It was one of those games that sparked endless discussions. What made it fun or challenging? The battle system was ahead of its time, with its seamless, strategic, and engaging mechanics. The multiple endings kept me coming back, and the boss fights tested both skill and strategy. Every run felt fresh, making it just as fun the tenth time as the first. Why do you want this game on GOG? Because GOG respects classic games and preserves them in their purest form, DRM-free. The original deserves a proper revival, not a compromised port. If any platform should host this legendary game, it's GOG.

I would really like to allow my children to experience the emotional journey that this game took me on such a very long time ago. I may have forgotten all of the details of the events, choices and the outcomes of those events and choices, but I will never forget the awe-inspiring wonder and emotional attachment I had to those outcomes. Looking forward to seeing if my children feel the same way. (and maybe playing it again if I find the time)
the steam version isn’t very good because it’s the mobile port so gog could fix that issue that’s why I’d like to see it up here, can I just write a comment please 420?

This is the great game. I play again and again. I love Chrono Trigger so much. Story is the best for me. If you take this game come back. Please don't forget Secret boss( at in Darkness At The End Of Time). It found only in DS and lastest version.
I remember getting this game for the SNES right around the time it came out. This game is tied, it my opinion, with Final Fantasy VII as being among the top video games ever made, and Chrono Trigger is without question the most engrossing RPG for the SNES. This is Square's crowning achievement prior to the move to the Playstation platform. I remember thinking about this game when I was in High School and skipping homework to play it. The unique style of combat and huge world to explore over multiple time periods really set this game apart. But the soundtrack was what put it over the top, revolutionizing music scores as we knew it back in the early 90's. This game has to be on GOG. We got all three Castlevanias, Crystalis, and now we need Chrono Trigger. When this game came out, it was about $60USD. Worth every penny. I still have the original box and the cartridge. I truly love this game.

I played Chrono Trigger for the first time when I was overseas, visiting friends - as the game was not available in PAL zone/Europe. I could not speak a single word English, but I was so captured by the game that I started to learn the meaning of words, little by little until I was able to finish the game. I enjoyed the game countless times in over 90 hours back then, an incredible amount of time. I did not know it was such a special game created by Square, Enix and design by Akira Toriyama. Only later I found out that any Final Fantasy game after did not feel special to me and were lackluster in comparison. Chrono Trigger has not only a milestone-valuable story but is also the game which motivated me most to make myself familiar with a new language - simply because the story always seemed so special.
Those games also need your vote!

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake EaterMetal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is the follow up to Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. It is the first prequel in the series, taking the series to the year 1964. The player takes the role as the series' original antagonist, Big Boss, then known as Naked Snake. MGS3 is the first game in the series to take place in a jungle. This unique setting created an opportunity for new mechanics. The player can adapt to the environment by swapping Snake's camouflage, hunt animals and gather plants for food. This iteration in the series introduced a new feature in which the player must apply medicine and perform medical procedures on Snake if he is damaged in combat. Apart from the survival themed features, the controls and gameplay of the game are very similar to Metal Gear Solid 2. Like other Metal Gear games, the focus is on stealth, but the player can go through the entire game like a shooter if they choose to. Throughout the game Snake acquires weapons of all types; non-lethal firearms, handguns, sniper rifles, machine guns, shotguns, sub-machine guns, and explosives. Metal Gear Solid 3 was the first game to implement the CQC (close quarters combat) system. CQC allowed Snake to beat enemies down to knock them out, or put them in a chokehold to knock them out, kill them, or and/or question them. Metal Gear Solid 3's health system required the player to occasionally pause the game and treat Snake's ailments. When Snake is shot, there is a chance that the bullet didn't pass through him, requiring the player to use a knife to remove the bullet, apply disinfectant, apply styptic and bandage the wound. This was done through a submenu in the pause screen. Other ailments the player must treat Snake for include: leeches, broken bones, burns, cut, arrow/bolts/needles, stomach sickness, colds, and food/venom poisoning. Adding to the survival elements of the game, Snake Eater lives up to its name by requiring the player to scavenge food for Snake. Under the life bar there is stamina bar. If Snake does not eat any food the bar depletes, causing various effects. When the stamina bar is low, the player's ability to aim is severely handicapped, Snake's hands will shake in the first person aiming mode. Just like real life, Snake's stomach can also rumble, enemy soldiers can hear this, and will be alerted to Snake's presence.

Fable: The Lost Chapters
Fable: The Lost ChaptersFable was expanded and rereleased as Fable: The Lost Chapters for Xbox and Windows PC platforms in September 2005. The game was later ported to Mac OS X by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive on 31 March 2008. The Lost Chapters features all the content found in the original Fable, as well as additional new content such as new monsters, weapons, alignment based spells, items, armour, towns, buildings, and expressions, as well as the ability to give children objects. The story receives further augmentation in the form of nine new areas and sixteen additional quests. Characters such as Briar Rose and Scythe, who played only minor roles in the original game, are now given more importance and are included in certain main and side quests. Other character-based augmentations include the voice of the antagonist, Jack of Blades, sounding deeper, harsher and more demonic, and the ability to uncover (and resolve) the murder mystery of Lady Grey's sister. The updated edition of the game also applied fixes for certain glitches, such as the "dig glitch," in which the protagonist would move backward each time he used the shovel, pushing him through solid objects and sometimes trapping him.
