Body Harvest (1998)

by DMA Design, Gradiente, Gremlin Interactive, Midway Home Entertainment
Genres:Adventure, Shooter
Themes:Open world, Action, Science fiction
Game modes:Single player
Story:The year is 2016. Humanity has been reduced to a few survivors inhabiting the orbital space station Omega. Over the course of the history, aliens visited the Earth every twenty-five years, "harvesting" humans as an organic material. Eventually, they launch an assault on the last remnants of the human race. But Adam Drake, a genetically engineered soldier, comes into possession of a time-traveling device. He uses it to travel to the time periods of human history when aliens performed their deadly attacks. The fate of humanity is in his hands. Body Harvest is an action and driving game with a mission-based structure. The protagonist travels to various locations and eras (e.g. Greece during World War II, Siberia in the 1990s, etc.) with the goal of stopping alien invasions. Missions can be accessed by traveling to specified areas on the map. Adam can move on foot and use his weapons to kill aliens; however, vehicles usually prove to be a more reliable way of tackling most missions. Adam can use most of his weapons while in a vehicle; in addition, some vehicles are outfitted with their own weapons.Show more

When I was in grade school I was forbidden from having consoles or PCs, so to satisfy my passion for videogames I had to rely on my friends. My best friend at the time had the Nintendo 64 and three games: Turok, Shadow of the Empire and Body Harvest. We played the HECK out of them. The first two I can still play thanks to the recent remasters and ports, but this one is still missing. YOU KNOW IT'S GOOD. Just convince RockStar, please.
I played it back in 2005, I was 12 years old, pretty lone boy back the (even now haha) a friend of mine lent me some games with his old N64, RE2, Mario Kart 64, Mario 64 and of course, Body Harvest. I was never interested in open world type of games until I played it, aliens, Men in Black, travel in time, killing a giant outer space creature with a shotgun gives you a different perspective about fighting them hahaha, really brought back memories when I was a child, I really hope this will bring wonderful memories to someone else and absolutely I will play it again it GOG brings it back

Never played the game but have watch a bunch of videos on YouTube about it. It would be awesome to have this piece of history in GOG store front. Also hope the game isn't too old to play on modern PCs.
