an amazing point and click adventure game that I played constantly when i was a kid on the ps1. i always wanted to play the pc version because it has more content and better video and sound quality but it's extremely hard to get running on modern systems.
One of my most favorite games of all time. This GEM is an FMV that features the original cast, and captures the essense of the X Files universe. I loved this game back when I had it many years ago. I'd love to get it again!
Edit: RE: to WatsForSupper - all you need is a somewhat newer version of QuickTime player that will run on modern systems, and the game plays flawlessly!
Part of the X-Files phenomenon, this was what introduced me to the show as a kid (weird, I know), and I've been a fan ever since. Sure, Mulder and Scully are barely in it as it's a companion piece, but it was a fun FMV game in its own right that's surprisingly complex with its inventory and the like- so fun, in fact, I had to install my old discs awhile back to do a Youtube playthrough.
I never owned this game but a friend down the road from me did, and he'd come over everyday and we'd play it and work through the puzzles and it was really good fun. Made us feel like we were in the X-Files at the time.
One of my all time fav games. I bought a playstation just to play this game. I never bought or played any other playstation game ever. I have a sealed copy of the PC version of this game. I even have the prima guide that comes with it. This is a very fun game, especially if you like the show.
This is in my top 5 favorite games of all-time, based on my favorite TV show of all-time. What a perfect way to encapsulate the show than to literally put you into an episode. FMV games were all the rage in the 90s and this one oozes the perfect atmosphere of the time, the show, the setting, and the world in that moment. I would absolutely love an easier way to play it than fiddling around with the discs on a PC or the inferior PS1 version.
An absolute joy for the fans of the series. This game has so much content and depth that really makes you immerse into the X-Files universe completely.
I remember renting the game from a local PC game rent store, then making copies of it and creating my own boxed version... Later on I was lucky to find one original copy in US Ebay, which I've bought and hold it very dearly in my home office. FMV masterpiece!
im a big x files fan and played this on ps1 so much but have noticed the pc version looks alot smother and seems there is some extra details that arent in the playstation version
It's a really fun game with a good story, supported by the cast of the show. My mom was a huge X files fan and I remember her playing this, she really liked it and I've also played it and loved it

The game is set in an alternate timeline, centered around events in Russia in 1917. The other European powers are allied against the invasion. You take control of "Red", an operative of the secret organization "Shadow Command". The goal is to uncover the Tsar's plans for Europe, using whatever means to demolish the Russian war machine from within.

The player's character is bedazzled by the spectacle of the circus and the mystery of the performer's life. After attending a show of Tomas Munrab's "The Travelling Circus That Time Forgot", the player loiters near the tents instead of rushing through the exit. Maybe some clowns will practice a new act, or perhaps at least one of the trapeze artists will trip...
Instead, the player overhears a strange conversation. The circus' owner has hired a drunken, inept detective to find his daughter Chelsea, who has been kidnapped. Munrab is convinced that it was an outside job; surely his loyal employees would never betray him like this!
As the player begins to investigate the abduction, it soon becomes clear that the circus workers don't appreciate the intrusion. Their reactions range from indifference to hostility to attempted murder. It features 20 normal missions, ten new hit missions, a new rival family seen only in the new hit missions, rooftop battles, new favors, and other methods such as blackmail and bribery.
The Blackhand Edition adds a second path that the player may take through the game, that of the operator. The main method of progression is by blackmailing police, the FBI or members of other families, and what the player does or says affects the outcome. While the enforcer's goal is to destroy the other families through brute force, the operator's is to blackmail the police chiefs of the five boroughs by finding enough "dirt" on them during missions. The player then blackmails the chiefs, enabling the bribe gauge to fill to the top for free every time the player talks to the chief, effectively allowing the player to take control of the police in that area. The police fight alongside the player's family members and can also arrest or kill rival family members.
