Keron320: New Vegas had better story indeed but nothing special.. also the NV map was alot emptyer than Fallout 3 but if you compare it to Older Fallout games .. then older F1 or F2 are alot harder even on Normal difficult .. .. Something messed up with that Reply .. i dont like quotes.. haha
I can't agree with you about the map. The FO:NV map was a bit larger, but with more inaccessible regions within it. There's 158 map locations in FO3 and in New Vegas there's approximately 188 of them to be had on the main map. Tthe total effect is that everything is closer together, and there's less emptiness over all. As for difficulty level, a lot of that has to do with the fact that you're no longer constrained to only turn based combat. You have the option of switching to real time if you run out of action points, and the game itself is significantly larger overall allowing for more opportunities to level up. And perks every other level for FO:NV versus every level for FO3 and every third for 1 and 2. If it's an issue, I'm sure there are mods for that.
Story, wise, it's really a personal opinion.
