MolodyiGamer63: My post will be not related to topic but you need to know some silly things.
I can not say anything happy, but I will say about something that made me unhappy - some of my coworkers were banned on gog forum. That is really bad habit gog to ban people if their opinion is different in same situation!!! I do not understand you gog, do you work for profit or not? Do you need to do all you can to please gamers so they will buy new games? But instead you GoG blocks almost every person I know! Gamers who buy games every month - you don't touch them and do not punish them. But if a gamer does not buy anything for at least 3 months - you start inventing an excuse to block the user's account or to block them on forum. For such behavior gog, gamers will not stroke your head, but rather they will curse the entire gog company and all its employees! Think about it.
I guess you are talking about two pretty toxic forum users that were blocked because they acted multiple times againstt GOGs TOC by insulting others and talking politics. Well .. that is their own fault. Act by the rules and all is fine. I personally am really glad if such people are getting banned here. Makes this forum a more peaceful place :) However such a discussion would be off topic. So maybe you should not discuss this here.

MolodyiGamer63: Snip
The users you are talking about did nothing but harrass others, the ban was deserved.

Same copy paste message in the newsletter discount thread. Off topic.

MolodyiGamer63: I remember that you posted also a lot of toxic posts towards my colleagues but after they saw them you edited your messages so gog does not have evidence to block you but if I had an opportunity I also block your account for a couple of months because of your behavior!
You are delusional. I never posted anything toxic since 2009. I edit almost all of my posts though because I always type too fast.
Tokyo Xanadu might need to be added to this list soon.

A new & improved version of that game is coming out on Switch.

I would link to the publisher's web page for that product, except I'm not sure if doing that would be going against GOG's "no links to other stores" policy, so that's why I'm not doing it.

But here is what the publisher's web page says about the new version:
KEY FEATURES

This updated version of Tokyo Xanadu includes all additional content for the game and a revamped localization of the story.

New Scenarios!
Enjoy unique tales of the Wielders that weren’t depicted in the main story. Once you’ve completed the game, get access to an all new quest and carry on the adventure!

New Playable Characters, New Monsters, Dungeons and Bosses!
Play as the mysterious knight, White Shroud. Brandish unrivaled strength and the powers of light to take down vile monsters and vicious bosses! Plus, new dungeons filled with fierce new monster types and giant bosses to battle!

New Modes: “Time Attack” and “Boss Rush”
In Time Attack, defeat various bosses that appear in the main story as quickly as possible. In Boss Rush mode, you can battle each boss one after the other.
Unless the existing version of Tokyo Xanadu on GOG becomes updated to the new & improved version via a free patch, as it should be, but which, so far, there are zero indications that this is going to happen, then the GOG version is going to become an inferior, second-class citizen version.

All these features are already in the GOG version. It was more like the Switch version was the second-class version until now. Check the GOG page yourself:

EDIT: https://x.com/AnonymusAxolotl/status/1753126776467788187
It appears that the localization is being updated, so that will be the difference between the two versions now.

There is also a turbo mode that got added on the switch version not just the translation. Anyways that it only for switch version. PC hasn't received any update yet.

Flatout 1 and 2 should be added to the list. They received today updates that added support for more languages , bug fixes etc. These updates won't come here because they were done by zoom platform. (So much for their drm-free principle they added steam workshop support that locks mods...Now I want to see all those boycoters to stop purchasing games from them like they did with GOG.)

What do you mean they added Steam Workshop? Did ZP itself add it? Last time I was in their Discord, the CEO wasn't too fond of Workshop.

Remember the creator of the GOG boycott thread is a ZP Discord Mod who met the CEO of ZP.

Edit: .

This pretty much means the best version of Flatout is on Steam now, since some of the update features are Steam only. They still can't even properly update their store.

ZP is such a hypocrite.

As you can see from the attachment these are the patch notes from the steam ver. At the bottom you can see that zoom was responsible for the update.
Attachments:
I would add for Morrowind that GoG does not have Cloud Saves unlike Steam.
About Skyrim and the Paid Mods I think with the Anniversary Edition they are now on GoG.
About Spellforce Platinum it also does not have Cloud Saves on GoG.

Spellforce is here for being out of date as well.

Well ... the exact quote on the Zoom announcement was:

"All FlatOut Games have been updated with mod support and more on both ZOOM Platform and Steam!"

So Zoom is among those that can use mods ......

Afaik he wasn't when he started the thread and it is not surprising that someone who is angry with one store would support another one. If one should or want boycott GOG is another thing.

In any case: the update belongs here as well so I will at least contact the devs and see if the assumption that it will stay Zoom/Steam exclusive will be confirmed by them as well.

Edit: Done - will post here if I should get a reply.

The people in their Discord are saying "Yes" including the special Mod. LOL.

If you read "ZOOM Platform Media, Jordan Freeman Group" in the list of developers or publishers on Steam then you can forget it. ZP is anti-GOG and it is part of their marketing which you can see in their Discord channel or on X when they bash the competitor. That's also the reason why that special boycott thread here on GOG was fishy and filled with a huge chunk of hypocrisy. :D
