Gremlion: May I do some corrections?
Absolutely. It's more than fair, since I'm mentioning your country, and all.

Kievan Rus, Ukraine, does exactly that now.

Thanks for the links and context. Many countries exploit others and have criminal elements that do nasty things. My point is that they haven't regressed into the Middle Ages.

As a person which lives in region with a lot of muslims:
You are making a mistake - inaction doesn't mean support by majority.
As a person who lives in a country with a (very small) Muslim minority that makes absolutely no trouble and is thus treated with according respect, it absolutely does.

Imagine common folks, which works 8 hour a day to feed their families, they return tired... And after some imbecile goes Allah-babah, what they should do? Organize a march? It's hard without leaders(have you ever tried to organize 10-people party? compare this to march, which you need to talk about with government), and it's pointless, because it is just stating obvious things.
That's just making excuses, and poor ones, at that. If you notice your nephew, cousin, neighbour, friend or son is going with the wrong radicalising crowd, watching some suspicious videos, changing his ways in stark fashion and espousing some nasty anti-West rhetoric, you don't need to organize a march or find a leader. You need to police your own and act accordingly (denounce and report them) if you expect to be seen as someone who actually loves and is willing to protect the country they live in. Shouldn't be that hard, if it's such a big majority that utterly abhors terrorism, right?

You see, many of terrorists are "heroes of wars for freedom of their lands".
EU and US provided asylum to "freedom fighters against evil commies\russians" since bin Laden.
Boston bombing was done by supporter of independent Chechnya.
Latest act by veteran of "Chechen war for independence" was shooting in Istanbul airport. He had numerous arrests in EU, but continued to freely move and wasn't given to Russia for trial.
Muslim radicals are perfect cannon fodder. For example, Kievan Rus has whole batallions of them:
You're absolutely correct. That does not, however, in any way disprove, contradict or invalidate my proposal for revoking European nationality of individuals who frequent hotbeds of Islamic extremism.

There is no such strategy in Russia. This thought was said by very blunt regional leader, but doing something like that IRL would cause huge outrage in press with connotation "making islam law above government law".
I was under the impression that it's an officially unacknowledged policy behind Russia's counterinsurgy and counterterrorist strategies.
I would be interested to see the facts and figures on how many people are killed by the common honey bee each year in Europe as opposed to Terrorism :P

There will be a sequence of events. It'll happen on a holiday, when people are away from their homes. A state of emergency will be declared because of a massive outbreak of the alien virus delivered by bees at which time all government, all federal agencies will come under the power of the Federal Emergency Management Agency--FEMA--the secret government. And the takeover will begin.

Bees are invading our borders. Time to build more walls and make the bees pay for it.
If Serdar from Turkish Rambo were here we wouldn't have a terrorist problem. Just sayin'.

Would knife crime be included? Those bees have been known to escalate of late.

Yet the OP, provided he/she actually lives in Belgium would hardly relocate away from Europe, because: Europe is pretty fine to live in.

Not least becaue we generally love our neigbours. As a Scandi free-movement fancier, I genuinely think the Scandi five care what happens to others, besides Estonia and Hungary having a special place for the Finns.

I trust the Finnish, and generally European police, to be impartial, to solve to crimes, to protect me, and to be just, as not to torture me, should I be criminal.

i might be critical of the Finnish parliament, at least now as it is very hard right - but it is responsible for political direction of Finland and laws it passes. Where I dislike my parliament, it is my job to persist on voting different.

I might have joked with my well loved Belgian pal that ISIS "might follow me but are quite late at it" (I lived in Paris and Brussels) and he might earlier pre-empted me by sayin "since Belgium is so incompetent with terrorism, ISIS will never srike at such free-pass breeding ground" - but yes, we were playful, And still are, in the same style.

Europe is to me my heart's continent. It is generally transparent in its legal practices and politics, and wonderfully diverse.

Europe has suffered from terrorism before, at par if not worse. Baader-Meinhof and nationalist movements. The death toll was bad then, as it might be now, but let us be rational.

Smoking will probably get you killed less spetacurally than dying in a terrorist blast - but it is the more plausible death.

I love my continent, and am happy to live in Europe. Baader-Meinhof was pretty bad, and violent, but it did not undo anything. Neither will current wave of terror, I should think.

Come on guys, all together, its a forum sport.
Just pointing out the fear being spruked on a daily basis about terrorism. It's completely over the top and should be ridiculed for it's actual impact not blown out of proportion in a way that validates it's effect.

We have a problem in Australia with sharks and we still have a problem with shark hate; you may as well think of them as our form of terrorist.
Randomly striking death in our population, hard to catch before the act, being punitively punished thereafter.
It's a ridiculous premise I know, but when you think about it we are not going to solve delusional & quite irrationally based murders by saying look at all these deaths, lets hate and shake our fist at some random geolocation.

We need to be pointing out how ineffective it in all truth is.
All terrorism will achieve is an increasing invasion of surveillance and a reduction of personal freedoms.
Historically 'actually credible' war efforts have caused far more destabilization, death, and lasting problems then modern terrorism seems to be able to do.

Yes Terrorism is to modern warfare, what Guerrilla warfare was to the dark ages knight; but it will barely put a dint on Global population growth and when people get completely tired of dealing with the ethics of it we will have a police state, with laws against specific practices (like worship) and a big scorching hole in what will have once been ISIL territory and slowly the left over 'war criminals' will be sussed out or die out.
A footnote in history like the Luddite movement; of people angry at change wanting to live in the dark ages failing miserably and being left behind to die out.

KiNgBrAdLeY7: Problem is, and honestly i am sad and angry about it, this list is going to be updated regularly from now on. For me though, it is inconceivable, that *certain* people, not only DEFEND the cannibalistic, barbarian filth, but even ATTACK those who bring them the news, trying to WARN them, PROTECT them, etc. Their stupidity of "political correctness" is not only self-destructive (shooter in Orlando for example, had been a muslim extremist, his father was aired in public appearing with a smile and talking about being PROUD of his son), but it is going to DOOM US ALL!

Some of us DON'T WANT "people" like those among us; we are not racist, we studied their religion and ideology (commandments of Islam, Haddiths, Taqqiyah) and we can perfectly foresee the impact their "accommodation" is going to have, in our home and culture, on the long run. Also, even in the rare case that they are not potential to-become-later-killers, active loonies or dangerous at all (i have to admit there are peaceful muslims out there who actually manage to incorporate almost flawlessly in the place they are accomodated), they still treat locals like shit and don't MUTUALLY RESPECT their culture and manners. For example, recently in Sweden, a muslim employee was fired, because he didn't shook hands with other women coworkers and customers (probably he was in a post which needed good manners and public relations) and when they fired him, he even got angry and sued the company, despite him considering all women inferior and not "extending his hand on dirtier beings".

They barge in not as needy poor sobs, but march forcefully as conquerors! Have you watched live footage from closed borders, with anarchists and left wing scum leading them to attack national security workers (like soldiers, policemen and citizens like the honorable, dependable Bulgarian ones)? Those people respect nothing; they themselves BURN their COSTLY lodgings (europe pays millions for refugee accomodation and needs), have chaotic knife fights among different groups of them (there are even dead men), they kill or rape children while non-governmental-organizations do their best to cover up EVERYTHING and they keep fighting among themselves, bringing their differences even here (muslims mug yazidis in refugee camps and so on). Hell they try to escape war and poverty; they ruined their countries, now run here and soon, they are going to make our own place, the exact same mess as theirs (i really wish not)...

You even talk about their crimes, THEIR CRIMES and BRUTALITY god damn it, and YOU ARE A "RACIST"! THEY KILL INNOCENTS BY THE DAY, you call out responsibility and YOU CAN EVEN BE ARRESTED on that mighty stupid newfound "laws" on "hatred" and "discrimination"! This is a nightmare; someone, do something! Even the right wing sits in the margin defenseless; should they "answer" to the events, they are going to be arrested! Just where the hell are we trapped into, right now, exactly?
Don't you know yet? Truth is a hate crime.

Aging is the most common reason for dying. So until we find a way to stop aging and to live forever, people shouldn't care about other less common reasons for dying, like car accidents, terrorism etc.

Or something like that. :)

TStael: i might be critical of the Finnish parliament, at least now as it is very hard right
If this is the "very hard right", as in the rightest it can ever be in Finland, then we have nothing to worry about as the current Finnish parliament and government are very moderate on the international scale. Socialistic, even.

After all, even our "very very hard right" prime minister, from the Keskusta party (translated as "Central", as in not in the right nor in the left on the political scale) gave his home for use by the asylum seekers, welcoming them to Finland, Merkel-style.

If your objection is e.g. the planned cuts to the state spending, let me remind you that there are far more severe cuts planned by e.g. the French socialist president. Do you consider also Hollande as "very hard right" because he has gall to touch state spending?

When you say you are "critical of the Finnish parliament (eduskunta)", then you are critical of the Finnish people. After all, we have voted them to the parliament. If you are against that, then you are against democracy.
