Life is Strange: Before the Storm

There is lots of things to like about this game, but many things that are bad. Soundtrack is great. Hard to imagine playing this game without its amazing emotional soundtrack. It saves the "game". Unfortunately writing is not that great. Cloe`s(Main character) writing especially in first act causes serious cringe because how bad it is, but luckily its so badly written that its unintentionally funny. NPC characters are better written and other major character Rachel is well written and interesting, but unfortunately even they are not fully fleshed out. Story holds quite well from the first half of the first episode to until second part of the last episode. Last episode`s second half is probably even worse in terms of writing than in the final episode of the original game. Unfortunately cant say more about it without spoiling. Game lacks any meaningful choices and considering if you have played first game, then you already know fate of the characters making them even more meaningless. This game unfortunately has even less gameplay elements than the first game, thus i would barely call this a game, but just a interactive movie. Still i recommend it if you like the first game. Im sure you have good time with it, thanks to soundtrack that fits the "game" really well.

Gra ogólnie jest dość fajna, ale jej problemem jest, że w porównaniu do jedynki, postać przez nas sterowana nie ma żadnej mocy, przez co mało się wyróżnia gameplayowo od innych tego typu gier. Gra jest bardzo krótka (3 epizody) przez co idzie ją przejść 2x szybciej od LiS. Zachłanność wydawcy obcieła 1 epizod w wersji standardowej, przez co gra jest jeszcze krótsza! No i dalej nasze wybory są dość iluzoryczne (z tego co pamiętam 2 zakończenia - ale nie jestem pewny). Grę bym polecił tylko dla fanów LiS, a dla całej reszty graczy poleciłbym zagranie najpierw Life is Strange. Zalety: -Poznajemy losy Chloe - bardzo lubianą postacią z LiS -Poznajemy jej relację z Amber - czyli dość znaczącą postacią z oryginalnego LiS -Grafika -system hmmm ,,pyskowania"? Wady -monotomna -bardzo krótka -niczym się nie wyróżnia tj. LiS. -słaby system decyzji

A prequel to the original game, Before the Storm sees the return of some of the characters and puts them in a smaller setting to deal with smaller problems, but still ones of major importance to them, there and then. Unlike the first game, BtS has no supernatural elements (unless you count Chloe's big mouth) and the stakes are quite ordinary and down-to-earth which makes it perhaps more relatable, if a little less engaging. The story revolves around Chloe's relationship with Rachel but while still good, I didn't find it nearly as emotionally impactful as the previous title. I'm not entirely sure, though, whether this is due to the writing or just the fact that it's a prequel to a story I already knew. Still, a pretty good game with likeable characters, and let's not forget: with really good music. Definitely worth playing if you're a fan of the original, just don't get your expectations too high. Oh yes, and be sure to play the bonus episode "Farewell".
