Frail Hearts: Versicorae Domlion

I loved the game but hated the ending. Pros : - Storyline, with real moments of tension and madness. I got really carried away a few times, and was emotionaly involved - Atmosphere - Character writing ; but note that I played in english and I'm not a native, I'm sure I'm less demanding - Artworks, beautifull in black and white with just one color per character, simple but effective. I was really waiting to discover the next monster. - Music, a HUGE carry for the game - Turn-based combat, quite simple but difficult enough for a story oriented game - Cathrine's storyline - Alexis Charisma - Turnip and nightingale Cons : - A bad ending exists, and it sucks. It gives you no answer at all on the main story mystery, no emotional highlight, no fight vs the final boss. I hated it. It was a huge deception. And I still don't understand how I got it, as there is no story choice in the game. - You can chose in what order you do the chapters of each character, but I don't understand why. It doesn't change the story. And you can get stuck, as difficullty increases with chapters. I advise you progress the story of each character simultaneously. - Some character's story are shorter than the others - Pixelart mixed with artwork - Game is old-school for some reason, with very slow menuing, moving, leveling ... everything. - Unpractical controls - A few typos ( english version ) - lack of QoL Still, I'll keep a good memory of this game.
