Early on in the game, when you wander into a dark area, sometimes the jester will appear saying this:

"Trouble finding a light? I'm just the man to set you right! Tighten your belt and pull up your socks and re-read the book from your ZORK ZERO box!"

Well, I've skimmed over the manual, and nothing helpful stood out. I'd like to get past this little bit of copyright protection and get on with the game. So, what exactly is the Jester referring to?
