I tried Zork GI in the release preview and in the RTM and it does not work. Other GOG games works great but this one (and my favorite I might add) does not work.

The opening Activision logo appears but when the mouse selection on the menu comes up, it is totally "messed up"...I moved the mouse to where NEW GAME would be and I did get the opening but once again, when the mouse and game screen came up, just doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hmm, try disabling your video driver in Device Manager. This will cause the Microsoft Basic Display adapter to be enabled which will emulate D3D. Now try the game.

If that doesn't work then I know for sure the game works in Windows 8 if you run the game in Vmware Workstation 8\Vmware Player 4 with Windows 2000 as a Guest OS.

Thanks for the reply...I will check it out tonight. I've tried many GOG games in Windows 8 (Tex Murphy Games, Space Quests, Wing Commander, Return To Zork) and they ALL work except for Zork Grand Inquisitor, which is my all time favorite game.
