I don't seem to be getting the problem of the fast spinning? Notice the arrow to the left, it lets me spin at a good speed, but for some reason as soon as I minimise the game (email or something... No not a walkthrough) then restore it... it goes into superman mode and can only be used with the keyboard cursors if I want to look around slowly? Also the edges are accessible now??? i.e. spells, inventory??? WEIRD!!!

Also if you look at the Arrow it does not go all the way to the edge of the screen? So I cannot access the spells and inventory items at the top left and right sides of the screen having to always right click then do what I need to do there? But strangly on the intro screen the mouse will go all the way round... Choose anything else like Credits, Restore, and such the mouse is limited (like in the picture)???

Come on GOG what's going on I am enjoying this game and hope I don't come across anything in the unaccessable area of the screen...

Hello, this is apparently a speed fix. if you can access the corners of the game, you're probably not going to be able to turn slowly.

My game will start out slow (panning wise) (now that I'm using zspeed.exe found in the game install folder) but will end up going fast again. I don't think not being able to go to that area of the screen should affect game play over much... except the quick inventory and spell casting. ^_~

I had the same problem, and just came to terms with it. I made sure to not minimize the game, as that would make spinning rather difficult, and just used right-click every time I needed a spell or item - there never is something else on the screen that you can't access due to the edge limitation. I was rather pleased to be able to play the game again, so it really didn't bother me that much.

Ugh, I noticed that when minimizing the game too... but the zspeed file seems to have stopped working altogether for me. I'm so close to being done, and I ended up cheating a lot. :\ the story line is good. But that is a bad bug!! It helps to use a mouse instead of a touch pad too (for a laptop) but uf, it still takes control!
