Any idea where the save games for this are saved?

when in the game it says saving to "c:\ " etc i cant find it at that path, and im kind of scared it will format my hard drive or mess something else up
dosbox mounts the game folder as C:\ internally. the save game is in the folder you put the game in.
ok cool thanks jeff

You type restore, press enter and then you type the name of the save you want to load and press enter again.

having the same problem. have tried to save under steve.dat, c:steve.dat, the full path to where the save game folder is, other tries. It always says "ok", but I can't find the save file.

Help?
Is there a reason why you need to find them outside of the game?

If you just want to reload a save game, load up Zork, type "Restore", then type the name of the file you saved originally, and it will load.
here is what I do & what happens:
I type "Save"
It says "Insert save disk then enter file name"
I type "Steve2"
It says "OK"
I quit the game
I start a new game
I type "Restore"
It says "Insert save disk..."
I type "Steve2"
It says "Save file not found"

Running DOSbox on Vista if that makes a difference.
Help?
On the game shortcut tick the checkbox for 'Run as Admin'. Then start the game, make a new save, quit, restart the game and try to restore that save.
looks like that did it. Thanks Namur, appreciate the help.
