StephenEinbinder: In all versions of Return to Zork (PC floppy, PC CD rom and Mac CD rom), if you ask Moadikum about Canuk, he will say "Canuk? Brilliant engineer...". But in the Mac version, how do you get him to say "That reminds me of my old partner, Canuk..."? Or is that piece of dialog just a vestige?
Alyosha: I replayed Return to Zork (PC CD-ROM) earlier this year, and I'm trying to remember the context for the "That reminds me of my old partner" line. Do you need that to trigger in order for Moodock to show you how to play Survivor?
Edit: I guess what I'm trying to ask is: are you stuck in the game, or are you just trying to figure out a difference in dialog between the Mac and PC versions?
No, I'm not stuck in the game. In all versions, I just click the survivor board to get him to show me how to play. I just noticed that one of the m4v files in the downloaded Mac version goes "That reminds me of my old partner, Canuk. He was something. Really creative." Then Molly chimes in from across the corridor: "Moodock, honey, that guy really gave me the creeps. Never knew who I was talking to when he was around." Then Moodock answers: "He made everything work. Couldn't understand why Rooper did what he did." It's an "after you've finished the game" mystery.
