a week ago ziggurat stopped responding to keyboard & mouse. well, shit happens. I uninstalled it and went to gog to download an installer. it seems galaxy is the new (enforced) way to install games. ok, why not. re-installing didn't fix my problem, but after some random tinkering (including starting the game with my xbox one controller) everything went back to normal, for some reason.

two days ago, I decided galaxy was getting in the way (+15-20 seconds to start the game from the destop shortcut & a full page of info I don't care about). I uninstalled it all, and downloaded the now-second-class-citizen so-called "offline backup game installer", dated 2018-05-08.

and now the daily challenge is gone!

Do I really have to install galaxy to get my full game back? what kind of DRM trickery is that?
