Hey guys,

I bought Zeus and Poseidon a few weeks ago and completed some adventures. I play all of them in the beginner's mode and therefore it is really not tooo challenging ;-). But now I face a problem and I don't know if it is a bug or if I am just too stupid or whatever.

I am playing "The Voyages of Jason - A new Hero arrives" - and I can't get any olive oil!! I can't grow it on my own and none of my trading partners is selling it. There is only one city on the map with which I don't have any trading connections and I am not able to develop trading (I tried to make gifts and I even built Hermes' refugee because he sould improve trading - but nothing happens. I am playing since a few hours now and nothing happens. I earn more and more money, that's all. Any ideas?? Pleeeeeease!!

Can you build the Arbor of Athena? If so, that's the (only) way to go (as also suggested by this walkthrough.

ok I will try this. But still strange enough, I can't build any olive presses or grower's lodges as it is suggested by this walkthrough. I'll keep you posted ;)

Once you have the Arbor up it will become an option to build presses and growers lodges. I dont recall this adventure specifically, but this happens throughout the adventures as they want you to build a specific temple, rely on gifts from other cities, defeat a coming monster, or wait for a timed event.

@muttly, I just noticed this! I think it is a bit weird because I didn't expect it to appear just after I built the arbor. Anyway, I completed the episode by now, thx everyone!

If you want a certain resource, make sure that you have 1. buildings (Lodger's, Tree Mill etc.) 2. Trading Post (check if any sells that resource) 3. Tribute (Most people forget about this, make sure that if u have a vassal, colony or ally; check the city from world map to see if they pay any tribute at all)

Most later missions , in the game later require you to build up your own way to get the essential /odd stuff like oil , wine , copper etc
1) trading is the most easier way but keep a watch it will drain out your money quick
2) there are a few building you will want to have in your city for their good benefits, i always used to build the ones where the gods would protect the city from invasions/ grant their soldiers.
3) as you grow in power , other cities will be frequently demanding stuff and getting hostile if you dont meet em , you certainly need to learn to get a few gods on your side asap

i usually spam myself with these asap for their benefits , remember building them once carries over into other missions
Arbor of Athena - olive oil , more strength to soldiers , blessing if low on stock, defends city
Artemis' Menagerie - hunting + 2 soldier companies
Ares' Fortress- war support , city defense , + soldiers (easiest to build)

sadly i dont own the expansion so i have no idea how it is changed in that
