All I see when I start the game is a black screen with a mouse that is in 1024*768 resolution size. I hear the music and when I click the click sound plays, but other than that, I cannot play. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

hope there is an easy fix.

Run as Admin worked for me when I had that. There is another thread here going over the hi-res patch, that may also work if "Run as" doesnt.
