'Zak' uses ScummVM in GOG version - usually that's the best option. But there is one little bug not yet fixed!

Some text lines disappear too fast regardless of the speed options. Namely, those having two screens - like the tickets: when you read any of them, like the one to Seattle in the very beginning, the first line is too fast and not controlled by Subtitle Speed (unlike the second one)...

I have reported it on ScummVM-bugs a year ago (https://sourceforge.net/p/scummvm/bugs/6592/), but it seems that nobody has bothered to fix it :(
I just fixed the problem in ScummVM, the fix will be included in the next daily snapshots of ScummVM.

Or you can just use my updated Windows snapshot of ScummVM, if running under Windows.
Thanks, Kirben! It works now!!!
Kirben, I have one more little ScummVM bug - https://sourceforge.net/p/scummvm/bugs/6872/

After using reservations terminal in airports, if you try to use anything just after that, like 'use reservations terminal' or 'use newsstand', the message is "I can't reach it"! After that message, I can use anything again the right way, but then - 4th. 6th etc. time the same bug repeats.

There is no such bug if launching the game via Dos / DosBox.

The DOS version works fine, but not in the FM Towns version.

And it seems to be an issue still in ScummVM 1.8.0, using the FM Towns versions, when reading the ticket right at the start, the first screen of text moves way way faster than the second screen and changing the subtitle speed has no effect on the first text screen.

When I try the DOS version, the text stays much longer and respects the subtitles settings.
