This has been a pleasant surprise, albeit a challenging one. Haven't even managed to get past day 3 yet of the first scenario but having fun figuring the mechanics of the gameplay out.

There seems to be a lot under the hood in terms of game dynamics especially when it comes to managing your survivors relationships with each other. Lots of replay value. There is a sense of trepidation each time I hit the watch button to see what happens next or who dies or is injured.

Would be nice if there was music throughout the game play, though, even on a loop.

One of the deciding factors for my purchase is the continued upkeep and updates from the developer. Appears to be almost monthly. Looking forward to more.

Now if you don't mind, I have some survivors to save from a surrounded house. Maybe I'll set a distracting bonfire on the other end of town. :)
This sounds like the kind of zombie game I am looking for. More management and moral dilemma. As long as the game random generates then it should be fun for me.

It does randomly generate everything from the town to the survivors.
You can also generate your own team of survivors, to the extent of using custom portraits for them. Great for LPs :)
Bought! I was just waiting to see the weekend deals. The demo cemented it for me. I love the art using bottle caps, pennies and washers to represent people on a hand drawn looking map.
I have to say I also think the game is great, fun and challenging. More so depending on what you get dealt at the start in terms of survivors types, personalities, etc.:) It reminds me of playing FTL: Faster Then Light (anyone who likes this game should check that game out as well). One of the reasons I looked into this game when I noticed it the day it got put up on gog. Different every time you play means no two games are really ever the same, which is nice for keeping things fresh. I'm glad this game showed up on gog as I didn't even know about it till now, and i'm really enjoying it as well:)

That's a good way of looking at it.

We like to think of it like a game of poker -- you're not always going to be dealt the perfect hand. Part of the fun is figuring out how to make the best of a bad situation. :)
